We will be staying a week at the GCH and I want to do some special things for my wife. 2 Years ago we did an in room celebration and it was nice, but very expensive, not to mention they screwed it up and didn't deliver everything, then delivered more the next day with out letting me know, but got that wrong too. Of course the only way to fix it was to call, and my wife heard me and that spoiled the rest of the surprise. so........

I'm thinking of doing some much more cost friendly things, and maybe something new each night when we get home from the parks. In the past I have had them deliver rice crispy treats and milk. I may have some flowers delivered one night. What other things have you done to make sure each day ends with a little magic???????

Thanks gang!

You could ask Vacation Planning to send a little note from her favorite character with a piece of chocolate.

A cute little gift from my hubby would really make my day! Like a Christmas ornament, picture frame, or some of the fun kitchen stuff in the Frontierland shop, or a one day Photopass with the promise of portraits the next day! Maybe a surprise reservation for lunch the next day at one of the nice restaurants, or at Carnation Cafe for breakfast and excellent people watching! Maybe a gift certificate for the spa in the GCH, if she'd like a facial or massage. Maybe a couples massage...! Have fun planning!

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to avoid vacation planning as they didn't impress me at all on our last trip. Everything was a mess, and it was more stress and aggravation than magical. I was really hoping to find out if GCH room service did more than just the rice crispy treats... Like cookies, other things.... Bottle of wine etc.........

I have had cookies delivered from room service, and I have gotten bottles of champagne. Call and ask what the can do for you.

I know they do deliver cookies and milk. You might try ordering cheese/crackers/fruit & some wine or other drink for an evening snack on the balcony.

The thing I was thinking about having delivered to the room for our anniversary is flowers...we will be eating enough in the parks, I would think (hee hee) especially with the food & wine festival in full force! What time does room service end, by the way?? We will be at the GCH.

DLH is midnight I believe (maybe 1am), so would guess about the same.

I'm not sure if you would be able to do it, but what about sneaking off and buying something she was eyeing in a store, then having them deliver the package to your room? Not exactly room service but something a little different.

Thanks guys! :) Has anyone ever had flowers delivered, and if so, were they nice? I'm thinking the middle of the pricing, like these ones here:

http://disneyland.disneyfloralandgi...tdlr.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=fn&carousel=true
this one is so $$$ compared to what you get, but that's Disney! http://disneyland.disneyfloralandgifts.com/product/youandmedlr.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=fn

Or...would it be better to use an off property florist? I doubt they would be able to put them in the rooms though...
