We are staying at the GC in August, 2 adults and 2 teens in one room, all our budget can manage. DD 17 will be using the sleeping bag and mat, I've been told by Reservations that it is adult size.

Has anyone slept in one of these bags, and is there room on the floor to put down an inflatable single bed if I bring one with me, just to make it a bit more comfy for her? Whereabouts in the room did you put the sleeping bag?

Thanks for any help with this, you know what teens are like, and it's important for all our sakes that we keep her happy! :rotfl:

Are you reqesting a standard view? You could ask for a room with 2Q beds and a day bed. It might give you just a little more room. Also, you could ask for 2 mats (some folks do). They are Eddie Bauer bags and not bad at all.

Tribefan - well at the moment we are booked for 2 nights at Theme Park View, but I'm waiting for the phone line to open up so I can ring to change it to 3 nights, as I've realised that 2 nights just isn't going to be long enough for our first visit. I may have to change to DTD view or even standard if they don't have Theme Park available, as online on the DL website, it's only showing standard view when I ask for a quote.

What size are the daybeds, DD is tall, she is 5ft 9, would she fit on one, and are there any photos of one anywhere do you know? Don't know if you are familiar with WDW hotels, but the daybed at the Poly was perfect size for her.

By the way, does the phone line open at 7 or 8am, it is the 956 6425 number I ring. I'm in the UK, so we are 9 hours in front of you. Thanks for your help with this. :thumbsup2

Well I rang and increased our stay to 3 nights! :cheer2:

We are sticking with the park view, and DD will just have to cope. I'm sure she will be dog tired anyway and sleep like a log! :rotfl:

We just returned from the GC and, after DS16 and DS18 trying to share a queen sized bed for one night, we got a sleeping bag. The boys were supposed to take turns using it, but after the first night, DS16 said it was so comfortable, he just stayed in it the rest of the time. The rooms in GC are not overly large, but there was room to put the sleeping bag across the foot of the beds on the floor there.

pittypat - thanks for the info, sound like she will be OK then. :thumbsup2

What about the bunk beds and a queen? My kids are younger so I do not remeber how big they were. Probably twin.

This is what I was thinking. We've stayed in the bunkbed/Queen room and even though my kids are small, they looked very roomy? You might want to give that a try- I think it would be better than a sleeping bag on the floor even if your dd's feet hang off a little :flower3:

I'm sure I asked on here about the bunkbeds before I booked, and they are only suitable for younger children. Both DS and DD are 5ft 8/9 and they wouldn't fit, according to what I had read about the bunk beds, they are not 'adult size'.

Unless, of course, anyone knows different?
