Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel???

We are DVC members and I am hoping my wait list comes thru for 1 night in August, in the middle of our trip. If not, I am thinking of which hotel to go to for that night, and possibly the next (our last night), so we don't have to feel like nomads moving room to room!

Which resort of the 2 would you stay at and why? I like things at both....ugh.

Can't help you as we also like things at both.

We've stayed at each at least twice that I can remember and I tend to give the edge to GC for its closeness and the overall spectacle of its decor.

OTOH, the actual walk from DLH to the parks isn't that much further and we enjoy the stroll through DTD. Also, the rooms at DLH are a bit bigger.

Age old debate here. Moving in the same hotel > moving between hotels. I'm partial to the Grand.

I prefer dlh. Because of dtd, the rooms at GC are too noisy late into the night. We had this fixed once, when we asked for a room away from the nose & had beautiful views...if parking lots. At dlh, you get the scenery with no noise. The walk to the monorail is nothing & the pool is great!

I prefer the GCH over the DLH overall but I like the rooms at the DLH better than the rooms at the GCH. The GCV trump both. Hope your waitlist comes through. :goodvibe
