Do they have fridges in the room? Coffee makers? Microwaves?

They have a little minibar fridge, which you can't use. Its full of stuff attached to sensors; if you touch the beer or whatever, you've bought it.

I think I remember reading somewhere that you can ask housekeeping to remove the stuff so you can use the fridge?

There are coffee makers, but no microwave.

As Dobie said, there is a little minibar fridge in the room. The last time we were there, I asked them to keep the fridge locked. They can deliver a normal minifridge to you, but you should put that request in ahead of time.

We were able to squeeze a few things in the door of the mini fridge, but it did make me nervous because they will ream you if you touch anything. Coffee pots yes. Microwave no unless you pay extra I believe.

You are going to love it at the Grand Californian. I felt totally spoiled. The best thing we did was have a park view room. We brought back dessert, bought a bottle of wine and sat on the balcony and had a great time just looking into California Adventure when there was no one in the park. It was the most amazing experience and one I will never forget.

We requested and received a complimentary mini-fridge. That way you don't have to mess with the pay fridge.
