I just got back from Disneyland and loved it more than WDW after all these trips and years because of the proximity to everything. If you've never been, you should try and go...

How many villas are at the GC? I really wish they would let us stay there on points for the regular rooms once the villas are sold out... I wemnt in August and used my points (use of lose points) at the disneyland Hotel because the Villas were full... I would have loved to have stayed at the GC though even in a regular room. However, the DL Hotel is tremendous with the ongoing upgrades...

DVC actually owns the hotel rooms in the new wing at GC. I wish they would release them into member inventory, then they could sell more points and more rooms would be available to members (simliar to the inn rooms at VB). I can't help but think that they have a plan on the back burner for those rooms.

Unconfirmed rumors from when they started construction was that the hotel rooms could easily be converted into villas.

Makes you wonder what they're waiting for. They've had a couple of years to judge occupancy of the DVC rooms, and it's not exactly getting any easier to book one.
