We are thinking about going March 8-11 but I was shocked to see the hotel would be $1300. Easter is April 8th in 2012 and I would think many schools are linked before or after that date. I was thinking the beg of March would be pretty quiet. Have you stayed at the GC the first part of March and what did you pay? We went in Dec last year right after Thanksgiving and paid $750 for three nights at the GC.

We went March last year, our spring break window and originally had a 4 day $1300 reservation, that we extended to a 5th night for around another $300. I believe they had an free night promotion during our visit and that kept the price down.

You need to check back in a few months. The specials come out only a few months ahead of time - until then I think they book at rack rate. If it's not usually a busy time, they will likely have some sort of promotion. And don't forget to save your offer and maybe they will send you a PIN for a better rate!

For whatever it's worth, we stayed the night of 3/9 this year (2011), and it was $266.76 including the taxes & fees. That was the AP rate. I want to say that the AP rate was 30% off the regular rate, but I'm not positive. It was a big difference in rate...enough to cover the difference between a 2-day PH and a SoCal Annual Pass.

Oh crap!
I just emailed them for a price from 8-12 April not realising it's Easter :headache:
