Grand California Hotel for Points?

Am I missing something, or can you no longer book the GC hotel with DVC Points? I did about 3 years ago, (and it was WONDERFUL!) but it doesn't appear to be an option now .. is that because of the opening of the Villas?

yes.

you cannot book on points any disney hotel that has villas attached.

..but you can still use points to book at DLH and PP...or..use your points to stay at VGC Villas

You can use your points to stay at the villas of GF but not the hotel section. The villas are really nice, stayed there in March for 4 days.

As a Californian, I will definitely look into the villas for an upcoming stay ...
