Grand Avenue at HS

Interestingly, the real Los Angeles actually HAS a Grand Avenue—among other things, it's the home to the Disney Concert Hall and a few other arts venues. I wonder if they'll include some sort of performance space/theater there for HS.

Do you think they will retheme the outside of Sci-fi and ABC to try to continue this grand ave then all the way up to Chinese theater. I think that makes the most sense to tie it all together and they can use the theater that is currently frozen as well.

My son loves craft beer so I can see us fighting over whether to go to HBD lounge or this. And is it just me or does anyone else miss Writer's Stop? I loved that place and I'm glad they kept a little bit of Streets of America.

You are not alone in missing Writer's Stop! It was always a "stop" for my kids and me whenever we were in the Studios. Lots of fond memories of popping in, browsing/buying books, then grabbing a coffee and carrot cake cookie.

My gut tells me they are now showing what the direction of DHS is going, its going to be something like Hollywood Land or Hollywood experience or some such. As such, I would think eventually you will see most of the key areas redesigned to move more to a california type motif. This is just my speculation though

The tricky part of this is that the Tap House fits with the theme of Grand Avenue, but I think there would some disconnect if the outside of these were re-themed but the inside left as is.

Seems to make sense to rebrand the park as "Disney's Hollywood" or "Disney's Hollywood Adventure."

My family (no kiddies though) thinks this is a fantastic & much needed addition! The pop-up bars are a little old & inconvenient and we would love to see more locations suited for adults.

We thought La Cava de Tequila would be just that, but it seems about half the time we go in, there are just too many kids to enjoy it.

Interesting. I wonder how big this "Grand Avenue" area will be. Will it be just that little side of the street? (if so . .seems like a small area to have its own name) ..
So, are they making that street AND Muppets Courtyard present-day LA themed? Or just the street? Is that why they got rid of the balloon and put the "Grand Arts Theatre" sign on MuppetVision? To make it fit more into this LA street theme?

How much beyond this short walkway into Galaxy's Edge will this LA theme extend to?

How will they incorporate this now awkward walkway between the big studio buildings (ABC Commisary, Sci-Fi Drive-IN)?

I wonder why they haven't given us the vision for the rest of the park beyond Toy Story Land and Star Wars land and now this new small themed area? Because I doubt those areas will remain the same for long.

I really don't know how they are going to transition these lands. But HS has been kinda hodge-podgey to me for a long time. I'm optimistic though

Agree .. This should be nice theme ...
So that feels like the two main streets will remain the same (Old Hollywood), with the Rock-n-Roller coaster OUTSIDE not fitting into that area (never did) .. (the theme of the ride itself fits (visiting an LA-based music studio))

Begs the question of what will happen to Indiana Jones/Star Tours, Jedi Temple in the Echo Lake area. If they took those two attractions and building down that would be a big tract of land for another "themed" area with new attractions on one side of the park.

Still a question of what will become of the old studio buildings in the middle of the park (Sci-Fi Drive-In, ABC Commissary, Sound Stage) and then what becomes of the Animation Courtyard (another big area they could re-theme into another land).

There are a lot of changes left for this park I would think.

Well, we could do both but I'm a light weight drinker and one or the other would be my limit. We love LaCava as well and it's been hit and miss as far as whether there are kids in there, my son is 37 so I don't think he counts.

I like the look of all this area, but it would be lovely if it was carried through the rest of the park. May make it look a bit like universal Orlando though.

As I get older, I tend to enjoy the little things about the parks. Interesting stores, quiet areas, and the architect of the parks. I find this Grand Ave. the idea very interesting and exciting. Getting to old to stand in lines and I find this new place a place to take in while kids are off ride hopping.
