Grand Avenue at HS

Disney Parks blog featured an article about a new tap house coming to Grand Avenue at HS in the fall. Any idea where this will be? Never heard of this before.

This is the old SoA area, that is being redone for the entrance to SW:GE area. Old Writers stop area. Looks awesome, and looking forward to another food area, with outside tabling!

Interesting. I wonder how big this "Grand Avenue" area will be. Will it be just that little side of the street? (if so . .seems like a small area to have its own name) ..
So, are they making that street AND Muppets Courtyard present-day LA themed? Or just the street? Is that why they got rid of the balloon and put the "Grand Arts Theatre" sign on MuppetVision? To make it fit more into this LA street theme?

How much beyond this short walkway into Galaxy's Edge will this LA theme extend to?

How will they incorporate this now awkward walkway between the big studio buildings (ABC Commisary, Sci-Fi Drive-IN)?

I wonder why they haven't given us the vision for the rest of the park beyond Toy Story Land and Star Wars land and now this new small themed area? Because I doubt those areas will remain the same for long.

Been obvious for months they are working on a "food & beverage" location with enclosed patio. It was just a matter of waiting for them to actually announce what it would be. This makes perfect sense given the size and lack of easy access to full kitchen. Sounds great! I'll be claiming a chair.

It's just one more part of the park being absorbed into "Hollywood theme" ...

I think this is a reassuring sign the theme and feel of the park is still important there so I'm pleased with this. I also love craft beer so it's a win-win.

Great way to spend some time, as you wait for crowds to slow down going into SW:GE. Of course...some of us may just stay there and not leave....or be able to leave

Maybe they could come up with some Mini-Minnie Vans to get you to the front of the park. And yes, I foresee this becoming a habit.

Just the street. This will be separate from the muppet courtyard area.

Correct it will be separate from muppets.

It was never meant to be themed to the muppets, the muppets mini-land was self contained.

I was originally afraid that Hollywood blvd was gonna become "grand avenue" but thankfully that isn't the case

Very pleased with this news regarding the remaining SoA section next to Sci-Fi. New LA/Hollywood theming being added at HS with another bar/lounge? Sounds great to me, glad it is opening this year as well.

The description sounds like it could be where Writer's Stop was, but then they start talking about California and I wonder if they got their parks messed up.

No the area will be themed to older California. The dining/bar venue will be where Writers Stop was.

My son loves craft beer so I can see us fighting over whether to go to HBD lounge or this. And is it just me or does anyone else miss Writer's Stop? I loved that place and I'm glad they kept a little bit of Streets of America.
