Our son is signed up for Grand Adventures in Cooking on our upcomming trip. I wouldlove to hear everyone's experiences with this. Also, I am wondering about when they come to the lobby to share their creations. When do they do that? I love to get a picture or two.

Thanks!

My daughter just did this on our last trip. She loved it!
When you drop him off they will give you a beeper (in case of an emergency).
You will also be told what time to be in the lobby to pick him up. When they come to the lobby they will have their chef hats and aprons on and bring you a cookie they made. They also have several trays of extras, you are encouraged to take as many as you like (take a bag with you!). Then the children pass out cookies to cast members and other guests in the area until they are all gone.

I said 'cookie' because that's what they made that day but they do make other desserts too

DD(8) did this in May. She had a great time.
We had to drop her off at the Mousekateer club at the GF. You have to go outside past Gasparilla grill to get there. They give you a beeper as mentioned. She got to decorate an apron and chef hat and keep them. They baked cookies and they were so good!!LOL
When they came out to share what they made it was at the end, when we were told to be there to pick them up. It wasn't by the main part of the lobby, it was right in front of the GF Cafe. DD said she would do it again she had so much fun. I also noticed a nice mix of boys and girls when she went. When DS is old enough he'll do it too!

My DS did this last september and loved it!!!

They, also, made cookies when DS did it.

What time during the day do they do this? I am interested in doing this with my girls if I have a day that isn't booked up with other stuff we are doing? And how long does it take?

The picture in my siggie is from my DD's experience with The Grand Adventures in Cooking. She loved every minute of it, and she would love to do it again. When the kids come to the lobby, you will have a lot of time for pictures. Your DS will really enjoy it too!!! :thumbsup2

My 3 kids did this on one of our trips. They loved it. They made their hats and aprons, and at the end they walked around handing out their "cups of dirt" to diners in the cafe as well as their parents. We had breakfast and walked around the GF before it was time to meet up in the atrium I think it was? Got there a few minutes early and watched the kiddies come marching up! Adorable. Really felt bad as there was one little guy whose family didn't show up, not for the handouts or to pick him up. We waited a little while since my boys were freindly with him, but finally had to leave. I really felt terrible and wanted to take him home with me! I'm sure there was a very good reason NO ONE in his family showed up. :confused3 But my kids loved it- they were 9,8,and 5. They still smile and giggle when we talk about the class. The did the pirate cruise as well, and that was great! pirate:

I was wondering about the pirate cruise as well. my son(4) loves pirate things and we were thinking about letting him do this one but i was a little warey of him being on the water :worried:

Madcat, dont be worried. They all wear lifevests in addition to their pirate gear. Everyone has a buddy and the CM's seem very on top of things.

oh thanks for that info stacy :thumbsup2 I thought that they would prob wear lifevests but knowing for sure does make it easier for me to let him go :goodvibes
