We had such a great time!!! It was the boy's first trip and he let everyone know it. I thought I would post our touring plan as it went so smoothly it was like a dance where we did not miss a step. :cool1:

We went on a Sunday on June 12. I used valet parking at the Poly. Before I get flamed I did check with the gate, the valets and the front desk. They said there was unlimited parking hours in valet because I was paying for it. I did tip generously. Because I was alone with a three year old who weighs 44 pounds I wanted the easiest and safest parking I could get. (He is also as big as a 4 or 5 year old.) I just couldn't imagine carrying him if he got tired. So my parking bill for the day using valet was around $26 including tips. But it was worth it to me for the safety and ease factors.

The park was open from 9am to 11pm. The boy wanted to see characters, parades, rides....everything!! He was so excited he was shivering. Grammy just wanted to watch the boy.

We arrived at the gate at 8:45am. We went in on the right side and rented a stroller then we headed out. Instead of going straight we went to Tomorrow land through the Noodle station. The first thing we saw was Buzz and Stich!! Perfect first pictures..Then we went right on Buzz ride and the car ride. The boy loves his cars. Then we went on Winnie the Pooh twice, picked up a fast pass for Peter Pan, went on Philaharmonic and Small World then used our fast pass for Peter. It was then around 11:15 and time for lunch. So we retrieved our PS at Chrystel Palace and were one of the first people seated.

Lunch was good and the character interaction fantastic. Especially when boy sang "Deep in the Hundred Acre Woods" in total, on key (can you tell I am bragging?) to Pooh. :cloud9: It was beautiful....

Then we went to Adventure land. We got a Fast pass for Jungle Cruise, rode on Pirates, saw Tiki, rode Aladdin, then did the Jungle Cruise. Then we went to the front of MK turned in our stroller and rode the train to Toon Town to visit Mickey's House. When we saw Mickey he was just so excited!! The boy told Mickey about all of Mickey's friends he had seen. He believed so hard!!!

Then we stood in line to see the Princesses and guess what? He was SHY!! Buzz, Stitch, 6 foot Mickey and Pooh and friends he takes in stride, but show him a Princess and fear raises it head.... especially when they try to talk to him:rotfl2:

So we got back on the train for a break at SoG. We rode the boat back. It is about 3 pm and our longest wait was for the Princesses.

By 6 we are back in the park and at LTT for dinner. I have to admit though the boy loved it, I was disappointed in the food and interaction of characters, but then they had to live up to POOH!!!!

After dinner it was raining so we headed to the Haunted Mansion!!! This boy is great. I explained these are funny ghosts and they play tricks on us. The boy loves escalators, so I tell him we are going into an escalator room that will get dark then we play a game and all yell really loud to make the lights come back on it. He LOVED it!!! I was so proud. He really like the ghost sitting in grammy's lap.

So then we go do the teacups, buzz again, and the people transit mover. It is now almost nine so we go to frontier land to see the parade which was cancelled. But we caught the last show of the Bear Jamboree!!! Again magic in the making for a 3 year old boy. Then we got fast pass for Pooh, rode People mover again, and the saw the Philaharmonic again. Got a fastpass for Peter. Went to see Pooh. Rode on Dumbo DURING the FIREWORKS like in the commercial. Saw Philaharmonic one last time...can you tell he liked this? Rode Peter Pan as our last ride and went back to Fronteerland to catch the 11pm parade. Everyone else must have either left early or gone to front because we only wated 20 minutes for the parade to arrive at 11:15 and we had no problems sitting right at the wire. He was mesmerized. We leisurely strolled out of the park. Took the resorts monorail as I was parked in the valet parking at the Poly. We were the only ones there....so our last ride was in front of the monorail. :lovestruc We had an amazing time....he kept going like the energizer bunny. If I can help with any questions, just let me know. :wave2:

What a great report! I can just see the little guy being embarrassed in front of the Princesses. :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing!

Wow! What a special day for you two! I definitely think you found the magic together :flower: :flower:

Wow....had my parents been alive I'm sure my dad would have done something like this with my DD's.....That little boy is very lucky to have someone like you in his life!

You guys got so much done, it's hard to beleive. Thanks for sharing!

I am still having fun remembering. Also every now and then the boy climbs up into my lap and gives me a big hug and plays "Remember when we went to Disney World Grammy? Just you and me?" Priceless

If anyone is interested the TourGuide Index showed a crowd of 8 when we went. But I really didn't notice any problems. And I am a Pooh-sized Grammy with child in tow. But then we did not do any of the "mountain" rides or watch Cinderellation show. The only thing we waited for was the Princesses. That was about 20 minutes. The rest of the rides were waits of 10 minutes, walk-ons, or fast-passed. Our next trip will be in March 2006 for nine days with the whole family. And the boy and I are ready!!! :grouphug:

What a wonderful time you had together! Thanks so much for sharing. One-on-one time when children are small is just too precious. :goodvibes

:goodvibes You guys covered alot. DH & I are taking the Grandsons to WDW in Dec (3 & 5 yo). I hope we can show them as much Magic!

Catrin We had dinner there about 6:30. What time were your there? I am afraid I wasn't very impressed with food or interaction. I liked the luncy a la carte menu much better. What did you think?

Leota, I am sure you will find just as much magic. After all the real magic is in the grandchild's eyes. We find that everyday, it just sparkles a little more with some pixie dust.

Thanks everyone for your responses. It is so nice to read this thread. It sort of keeps the trip alive, almost like it is not quite over yet :cloud9: .

aww he got embarrsed at the princesses same thing for my bro and he was 2 and was all excited about it then when we got to them (snow white and aurora) my bro got all shy but oh boy did he flirt eith them. Then they gave him tons of kisses which was so funny cuz he had red lipstick on his face the rest of the day and me and my aunt got a great pic of us with the princesses
the last time he went we went on stitch with my dad and when the bars came down he got out of his seat so he had to sit on my dad but he luv buzz alot and we went on it like 6 times and he beat me! i was so mad that a 3 year old beat my on buzz but then i found out my dad helped him i luv to get autographs with the characters sometimes there really friendly but other times there not like when i went to get aurora and prince philips autograph they were all snobby then we went to get cinderellas and prince charming (he was soooo cute and nice) they spent like 10 minutes talking to me and my bro and prince charming luved my autograph book my dad made with pics of the people and went through the whole thing and didn't care that people were getting mad at us which was funny and then he took so many pictures with us they were the best couple i saw cuz they were funny and kind and got along great and really acted like their characters well that was my experience with princesses and princes and don't ask how i got both of them together we were at magic kingdom and they were there it was like at night so i guess we got really luck getting pics with both of them

Suevee,
Out of my five table service restaurants that weekend, it was our least favorite. (Our ressies were at 6:20 - we were eating at the same time!) I thought service was just terrible. We had to ask for drink refills, which is OK.. but then they took forever to come back. We hardly saw our server, and had to grab him as he flew by - several times.

Food was pretty good - nothing fancy, but a good meal... Kyle LOVED it (but what kid doesnt love Mac&Cheese, Mashed Potatoes!) I thought the characters were pretty good, but since this was our only Character meal, nothing to compare to this trip. I have been to Chef Mickeys before, and it was so much better there.

All I remember, was that it was POORING when we got out of dinner!

Catrin I thought the food was equivalent to a good cafeteria, my boy doesn't like Mac and Cheese...... :sad2:
