Thanks Laura! I have so much to do, and I woke up with a sick tummy, so I'm trying to gather enough energy to finish getting ready. At least I'll have some down time at the hotel over the weekend to rest brfore we fly out.

I'm not sure who is playing - I've heard the names thrown out my the guys around here... We're going to go right to the 11:30am game - then take DGS, 1 back to the hotel and check in. Then, grandma will probably take a nap with him and Papa, Mommy and Daddy will go back for the 2nd session.

We need PD badly! DGD, 1 is still throwing up after 7 days! No other signs to watch for, so we think it's just the virus we've all bee fighting hanging on...I hope they get to come.

Okay, I finished my packing today (good thing, since we leave at 5am!) I went to the bank, called the CC company, got all of our tickets, etc. in order.

Jim got the oil changed on the car. I wanted to clean it out, but since I'm not feeling well, I just picked up a few pieces of thrash out of the bin, and called it good. It will get muddy on the mountain anyway, so we'll wash it when we get up North.


One trick I am trying, I learned from our very own Drea, otherwise known as anewmac. I doing a BYOB drinks at the pool and saving some $$$. I have read about it all the time on the cruise boards, so why not at a resort?
So I got some small bottles of some special "water" as Drea so eloquently puts it, and some other "citrus water" I'm getting the refillable mug and heading over to the drink station to get refills of pop and juice, then adding my water and relaxing by the pool. I spent $11 on the "icky drink", as DGS puts it. and I'll spend $12.95 on the mug. So that should cover 3 drinks - after that I'm drinkin' FREE!

Gotta love that Disney math!

I am not someone who drinks alot - I never "party" but I do like to sip an adult beverage by the pool on vacation, and I do like a fun drink or glass of wine when going out to dinner.

So, we are ready to go, I can get to bed early and we are 'OUTTA HERE!' Have a wonderful week everyone, I'll be back with lots of pics - although Jim does draw the line at food porn

I think since I don't have a huge following like some of you, I'll just keep writing here, if that's okay. I think I'm going to rename my thread, though. I'm going to call it "Did we Jinx Disney?" I downloaded my pics to my laptop, now I need to send them to photobucket and I can get started tonight. I have a party to do, so I'll be getting ready for that and getting things in order for my mom to watch the babies tonight.

But, I'll give you a short start to our trip right now. I'm going through some serious jet lag and Disney withdrawal - how can our trip be over already I'm sure some bad fairy came and moved the calendar forward

Our first few days were at the NCAA college basketball finals up in Portland, OR. Our DS was following us with his wife and baby, so we got a 45 minute late start getting on the road - their alarm didn't ring! We missed the first game, but we weren't really too worried about it. We had a nice lunch and got settled into our Marriott hotel.

Jim, DS and I walked down to the Rose Quarter, home of the Portland Trail Blazers! DGS and his mommy were taking a nap! It was a 15 minute walk - good training for Disney! I'll post pics later on tonight!

Hope you'll all stick around and enjoy my trip with me - It will help to re-live my memories!
