Graduation Celebration, DISNEY style!!!

So we didn't have a Character breakfast scheduled for this day, so we figured we'd head to OPR to have breakfast at the resort, and get our mugs. This is something I've never experienced before, and was utterly confused!! So, we all finally got our food, our mugs, and after making a few trips back to get extra drinks, since we got 2 each, we found a seat and ate. It was yummy!!! We filled up our mugs, and then before we left, Tyler mentioned he didn't have his wallet. That has his room key, AND his ticket in it....so, back to the room we go. When we get there, Tyler gets his wallet, we drop off a few extra drinks and our mugs, and then we see these guys right outside our door!

So, we decide to give the ducks a sugar rush, and feed them chocolate chip cookies.

The kids really enjoyed that. So, back off to the busses we go, and got to DHS kinda later than I was hoping, but it wasn't much of a big deal.

Against my better judgement, I forgo running to get FP's for TSM, and we head towards TOT.

So we ride TOT, and Haden LOVED it!!! Had his hands up, and was just laughing the whole time!!!! So, I figured since he liked that, he'd like RnRC, so we head over there next.

The line was LOOOONG, and I think it broke down when we were half way in line. But, we finally got on it, rode it, and then went to get FP's for TSM, and they were all gone!!! So off to Sci fi, and were a little late for our lunch ADR. They didn't give us much problems, and we were seated within 10 minutes. I read some good reviews on this place, and while the food was really good, I didn't like the atmosphere. The movies were neat, but there was NO ONE talking!!! I could hear forks clanking, and the place was full!! It was awkward talking to the people with you, since you were all facing forward. The kids all had milkshakes, and I had the chili for the appetizer, and the wedge salad for lunch. It was really good, just didn't enjoy the place overall.

After Sci Fi, we went back to the resort, since I promised Haden we'd go to the main pool. So, off we went to the pool, Syl stayed behind to try to get in a nap. The main pool was fun, but CROWDED. The hot tub felt really good on my decrepid body LOL and Chris said it felt good on his knee. So we went back, showered, changed, and back to DHS we go. We get in line for the Great Movie Ride, and I get some good pictures.

We then went to our ADR at 50's Prime Time. Had a good time there. This is one of Chris's favorites!!

After that, we went to ride TSM, it was close to closing, and I wanted to make sure Haden did this ride. It wasn't a bad wait, but everyone was TIRED!!

Not an overly packed day, but it was fun non the less. I was a little dissapointed that we didn't get to see alot of things, but we have done this park with Syl before, and we got to do the main things. I don't think the next trip I'll plan lunch ADRs, just because they do take alot out of the middle of the day.

Next up, breakfast with TIGGER!!!!! What, oh what does he do to ME????

Great updates Christie! Sorry for being MIA. Your DHS day looks like fun. We found the DxDP to be too much for us..felt like we spent most of time sitting in a restaurant. Well that and the 8lbs I gained that week.

Thanks Leanne!! He was WAAAY too cute!!! Such a ham for the camera too. I liked the DxDP, but not the ts lunches. the food was fine, I came home and only gained 2 lbs back Just found out last night I gotta do a quick weekend trip in October, the weekend of the 1st for Sami's birthday. It's what she wants, so hey, I'm a sucker for what she wants!! Plus, I'll be able to pick up stuff for the other youngins that we're taking in May.

Well, I think I'm crazy. I just booked the FW cabins for the first weekend in October. Sami's birthday is Oct 7th, and I tried to get her to go to universal, had that one ready to book, but she wanted disney again, so here we go!! LOL We're just hitting AK and MK, eating at Tony's, Ohana for breakfast so far. Can't get Tusker House, but I really want that one, so I'll keep trying LOL So....that's what's going on now....should be fun to plan a quick trip, thank god for FL resident deals, cause the military deals expire on Sept 30th!!!!

Sounds like ya'll had a good day at Epcot. We didn't do anything in the Innoventions buildings at all this year but it sounds like we need to hit it up next year just to do the Sum of all Thrills.

We have eaten at Coral Reef three years in a row and it's been so good every time. Glad to hear that you enjoyed it.

What? You didn't make the mad dash to get TSM fastpasses? Were you running a fever?

Too bad that Sci-Fi wasn't exactly what you thought it would be. I'm just the opposite of you. I like the atmosphere more than I do the food there.

Lisa!! Yea, no mad dash to get FP's, since we were already running late to the park!! UG!!! I figured after we got done with TOT and RnRC we would be fine for at least after dinner....boy was I WRONG!! But, we got to ride it. Which was nice.

yea, we're opposites on Sci-Fi. I like to yak when I eat.....shoot, I just like to yak!! HAHA

Coral Reef was AWESOME. I think we're gonna do Teppan Edo for dh's niece next year tho, the younger kids will like that better!!!

Sum of all Thrills was fun, but again, virtual space mtn in Disney Quest tho. But interesting. You can see your friend beside you when you ride. Neat stuff!! Glad it was in the AC!!!!

First, let me start off by saying I LOVE THIS BREAKFAST!! mostly for my main man Tigger.....but the food is good too. We get up, and get off to the MK, get in the park early, and while I get checked in, we get a few pictures.

They weren't that busy, and as soon as we get our table, the waiter brings us coffee and Juice. Then Pooh comes around not 2 minutes later.

Haden wasn't into the food here, he wanted the characters!! LOL Syl went and got him some waffles, and Eeyore came around and surprised the kids.

They do their parade thing, we get some food, and I get one bite in, and Piglet comes around

didn't get one of Tyler with piglet....he might have been getting food or something LOL

then comes my main man!!

SO......if you guys were following my PTR, you guys know I had to get AFO braces for my legs. For those that don't know, I have a rare type of Muscular Dystrophy, and it's in my feet, and I got what's called foot drop really bad, and it makes me fall. So, the dr put me in braces. Chris thought it would be cool to paint the braces tiger strips. Here they are for those who haven't seen them.

Anyways, I actually like wearing them now HAHA So, Chris took my picture, and had to show tigger his handywork. Tigger thought it was cool, and wanted to sign them....but I only had a pen, and not a sharpie!! So....wonderful waiter came by, emptied his millions of pens on the table, and pulled out a sharpie. Tigger was 2 tables away, but I hunted him down, and waited patiently LOL Then....showed him the sharpie....and HE SIGNED MY BRACES!!!

OMG it was the ABSOLUTE BEST disney experience I've ever had in my many many trips. Syl started crying just from seeing my face, and I just thought it was the coolest thing EVER!!!!!!

Great update Christie. It looks like ya'll had such a good time. I love the lei in Syl's hair. I found the buses to be bad this trip too. We don't usually access the bus system, but Dale wanted to go back to the room on several occasions, and I wanted to stay in the parks.

I don't have a close up, but It's done with a sharpie, so it's still there LOL So I can get a picture at any time.

On another note...most of you guys know I had a couple of spots removed off my back 2 weeks ago, and I have anxiously been awaiting results. Well...it is a mild case of melanoma. They think they got it all, but are sending me to a dermotologist to make sure. They want a full body scan, to make sure there aren't any other spots that may be bad also. So.....i'm going tomorrow morning to buy lotion with sunscreen in it. I'm still pretty young, but the dr said today that my chance of recurrance is REALLY high, so just another medical thing to put on my very long list!! LOL So....say a prayer for me please, and it will be alright. I have a positive attitude, and the dr did say it was small, like a little larger than the tip of a pen, so no worries. Life will go on!! I'll keep everyone posted as I see the dermotologist and what all he says. I'm sure he'll check my lymph nodes, just to make sure. Thanks everyone for being here for me, and listening!! I love all my Disfriends!!!

Love that Tigger signed your braces. It made me teary just reading about it. Those are the experiences that make Disney so special!! LOVE IT!!!!

I'm praying for you my friend!!!!! I hope there is nothing else and that they got it all. Please keep us updated and DO NOT hesitate to let me know if there is anything we can do.

I wish you all were going to be at Disney the weekend of Oct. 6th...that's when we're going back. It would be fun to meet up again.

Thanks Lisa and Leanne!! It was awesome. I think everything hit me today, and because of this stupid storm, Chris may not be able to come home. DOH! So....I'm alright for now....just down a little bit. I got an appointment with the dermotologist on Aug 12th, and then they'll test my lymph nodes, and do a head to toe check....and then stage me. Pray for low numbers on the staging, and that my lymph nodes are clear. My dr's office called today to see how I was, and to make sure I made the appointment....so I got alot of people looking out for me....just got to hope my body is up to the fight, I know my mind and heart is!!!!!

Alright, enough with the sad stuff, on with the fun stuff!!!

So, we leave breakfast right as MK was opening, and head straight to space mountain. It was only a 10 minute wait, so we hopped in line. Syl told me right at the beginning of this day, that we aren't going back to the room, she wanted to do it all....so, okay!!! There was 7 of us, so we had to have one person ride alone...so I volunteered, and got a picture of Haden on his FIRST space mountain ride!! I didn't care who I blinded beside me!!!

So even with them redoing it, it's still kinda rough on me, so not sure how much longer I can do that ride, I had to pop my pills early for this day, just because SM hurt me!! After that we went towards buzz

I got the high score of the group, and I rode with Chrissy. Just love that girl!! She had been riding with Sami up until this point, you know, the teenage girl thing, but I stole her!! Sami was a little upset, but she rode with dad, so no worries there. Tyler likes to ride alone, so that's fine by me!!

After Buzz, we went to TTA. Tyler LOVES this ride, and this is one that I feel my grandma on the most. For those who don't know, I grew up near the parks, and my grandma was the one who gave me my love for disney. most of the older rides that she loves, I have fond memories of, and this is one of them.

Chris and I rode with Syl and Haden, and let the older kids ride together.

After TTA, we go towards Stitch. Sami likes this ride, so her, Chris and Haden go to ride it, me, Tyler Syl and Chrissy gets snacks. Tyler got an ice cream cone

And Chrissy wanted a turkey leg, had been talking about it for MONTHS before the trip!!!

So, a few little friends come up to join us, and Chrissy was feeding them some turkey!! It was cute!

So, we meet up with everyone, Haden LOVED stitch, Tyler went to buy one of those balloon ball things, he's been wanting one forever, so he finally got one!! And we head towards the speedway. Haden was SOOOOO excited for this one, but didn't want to drive. He rode with Syl, Chris and I rode together, I think Sami went alone, and Chrissy didn't want to drive, so she rode with Tyler. If my memory serves me correctly. Chris drove for us....so I snapped a few pictures of Haden!!

When we got to the end, there was some neat sky colorings, it was orange, and purple, and pink in just one area. Reminded me of the northern lights in the daytime, not sure this picture does it justice.

So, we go to get in line for the teacups. This is one of my favorites, and I think it's secretly becoming Chris's favorite too. He usually never rode this, and one time surprised me, and man, he can get it going!!! Syl doesn't like spinning things, so I gave her the camera and she got a video. I hope this came out okay. I'm the one in the orange, and chris has on a tank top, and is spinning wildly. He took the girls, and I took the boys.



After this, we went to get drinks, and headed towards the train. I'll update that one later. I'm sorry if the video didn't come out, hopefully it does!!!

Next up, the train, and thunder mountain!!!!!!!!

All right, we left off at the teacups, we had a good spin on them, and the kids loved it. It was time to go to the other side of the park, and do the other mountains. I figured the best way to get over there was the train. So, we grab some waters, and Chrissy grabs a frozen lemonaide, we hit the potties, and head towards the train in toontown. I didn't want to walk thru fantasy land in the middle of the day!! So, we wait for the train...not too long maybe 7 minutes.

so we goof off in line, as we always do, and not sure what Syl was doing here.....but it was cute!!

Chris grabbed my camera, and we were smiling for what seemed like forever, then he figured it out, and said look like you just won the lottery, so of course I get a little goofy!!

Then, here comes the train!!

I get a few pics as we make our way to the frontier land stop.

we got the seat where it was double and you can see each other, so we didn't have to get 2 rows, and Haden was eager to see where we were going LOL

So, we get off at frontier land, and go to get splash FP's. The come back time wasn't too bad, so we get in line for Thunder Mtn. The wait said 40 minutes, so we hopped in line. It moved pretty quick, and I don't think it took as long as it said. Soon, we were on the ride!! We sat in front of Syl and Haden, and were able to get some good pictures.

And then, we drop!! I just LOVE his face and reaction and everything abou this picture!!

And Chris got a video, it's a little shaky, but it's cute.



We were behind our kids, so I got a couple LOL

After that, we went to ride Splash. Didn't get any pictures, cause I always put my camera up LOL Maybe in October I'll be brave and get some pictures. But we all LOVED this ride!!! It was Haden's first time, and he wanted to go again. After Splash, we headed over towards the country bears to take a little break. On the way there, Chris had to get some Jelly Bellys...one of our traditions. So, the kids wanted some too, so $107 in candy later... we get into the country bears. After that show, Chris wanted to take the candy to the room, and Tyler went with him. So, we head over towards the Tiki birds, cause Syl wanted to see them, but before we went in, we got some ice cream. Had to have at least ONE mickey bar!!! LOL So, this was Haden's first Mickey bar, so I had to get pictures!!

So, we hop in line for the Tiki room, and the teenagers were tired!!

After that, we headed towards the haunted mansion, rode that, and then Syl needed to smoke, and the girls wanted to do Small world. So that was a short line, I sent Syl towards a smoking area, and we rode. Sami got this picture of me and Haden.

After that, Chris and Tyler were back, Syl said that smoking area behind the christmas store was not there anymore....which of course I didn't know!! LOL She wasn't mad. We decided to head to philharmagic, to sit in the AC for a while. I love this show too!! While in line, I got this REALLY good picture of Syl and Haden!!

After we got out of the show, we encountered our first rain of the trip. It was short lived, but we ducked into the shop by snow white. Chris showed Syl the smoking area behind the castle, that one was still there, and I stayed with the kids in the store. We had some fun with the hats!!

I buy Chrissy a ring, and we go ride snow white. After that, we had some time before our Tony's adr, so Chrissy wanted to see Carosel of Progress. So we went back over that way. Saw that, then it was raining again, not too bad, so we went towards the front of the park to Tonys.

Next up....Dinner at Tonys....MSEP, and more!!!

Remember the little dance I mentioned when we were in the Poly the first night? Well, Haden found some more bracelets, and did that dance again. I got video of it!!!

Hey Pam!! Glad ya made it over!! yea, Haden is just awesome. His personality is wonderful, and he's just a happy child!! He's outgoing, and loving. I can't wait to get my great nephew there next year!!! I'm hoping he'll be the same way. I love that my camera takes video too. This trip was for my friend Syl, but Haden is in most of the pictures. It was the best trip ever. Tigger signing my braces was priceless!!! My most memorable disney experience EVER!!!
