Grad Nites??

We're planning on going to WDW (our first time) April 30 - May 6, 2005. Somewhere on the net I saw that Grad Nite Weekends are around this time. Can anyone tell me how bad the crowds get? And if they stay all week or just on the weekends?

Grad Nites are separately ticketed events that happen after the parks close. The kids are generally brought in by bus after a pre-party at Pleasure Island, and then they're gone after Grad Nite is over. Very few Grad Nite groups stay past the night of hte party they attend.

Grad Nites have very little effect on overall park crowds during the day, and they definitely don't affect the crowds for the rest of the week.

the crowds are not bad, the only problem is that MK closes early for the grads Fri and Sat for 2 weeks. I think they close at 6:00PM. However, the value resorts do house some of the groups too. PI also hosts some of the parties.

Yes, except for the inconvenience of the Magic Kingdom closing early on those nights, you won't notice a problem with Grad Nites going on. Now, you might be more concerned with the big press event taking place on May 5, 2005. Now, that's something to worry about!
