Grad Nite

Just wanted everyone to know that May is the month that all schools have Grad Nite. My sons school is having grad nite on May 20. And so are a lot of other schools so be prepared for a little longer wait at all attractions. Also a lot of parents are going up with their kids, My husband, : : daughter and myself are going to be going to disney with the school and making a weekend out of it. Just wanted everyone to know so that can either go to another park on that day or expect the park to be a little fuller. the kids are so excited to go to Disney that they can't wait that's all they talk about.

Sorry for my confusion, but are you saying the May Grad Nite is different than the April Grad Nights coming up this weekend (& next)? I thought Grad Nights at Disney were the next 2 weekends...you mean, there's more??!!

Disney Youth Programs do offer special Grad Nite events at the end of April. These are specially ticketed events. The nights this year are 22, 23, 29 & 30. The website is www.disneyyouthprograms.com On these nights MK is open exclusively to those attending this event.

Perhaps DK3 is referring to school organized Grad Nites, although not the official Disney Grad Nite event, are still considered Grad Nites by the students.

Disney's Grad Nites -- the hard ticket events -- are only for high school grads, so the middle school ones being talked about are organized by the schools. Universal has a middle-school Grad Nite event, and I believe SeaWorld may too ... but Disney does not. Any middle-school-based Grad Nite events at WDW could affect normal everyday attendance quite a lot, depending on how many schools are involved. The scheduled, Disney-planned Grad Nites don't normally impact the parks during the day.

My sons school (grades K-8th) is having Grad Nite on 05-20-05 all the 5th graders and 8th graders. And I know from talking to other parents in my community a lot of Jr. High schools are having Grad Nite in May. I paid $85.00 for my sons grad nite that includes park admission, transportation and his grad nite shirt.
