Grad Nights

Last week we booked the Polynesian for 4/18/08-4/25/08. After doing some research, I found out that 4/18/08 and 4/19/08 are Grad Nights. Do Grad Nights affect the overall attendance of WDW? I had read on these forums that most of the students are bussed in and leave the same night.

We are also concerned about the effect of Grad Night on the Polynesian Resort. I read a couple of posts where people said that the music was so loud that they could not sleep. Other posts said they never heard a thing. Well, which one is correct?

Last night, I contacted Disney Travel Company and asked about noise issues at the Polynesian. The agent called the manager of the Polynesian and assured us that noise from Grad Night will not be an issue.

Does anybody have any real experience with being at the Polynesian during Grad Night? If so, how did Grad Night affect your vacation?

I can't help you with the Poly, but we have been there while grad nights are going on, and we will be there again this year. NO issues whatsoever. They are bused in, that night, and then they leave. We were in MK on one of the nights, left at 7 pm, as the grads were coming in. The next day we saw nothing to do with it. Just to let you know, the grad nights continue the next weekend as well. We'll be there for both, and I have no concerns.

Thanks for the feedback. We will be spending a lot of money to stay at the Polynesian and don't want anything to go wrong. Hopefully someone else who has had first hand experience staying at the Poly during Grad Nights will comment on the noise level (music and fireworks). Thanks again.
