Grad Night Question

We will be in WDW on a Grad night. This is a surprise, short trip so we plan to go to MK. I'm fine with the park closing at 7:00. We will just go swim at the resort or hop to Epcot or DS. My question though is: Do the hoards of Grads. visit the park all day or just show up for the grad night?

Grad Night

We were there last year and it wasnt bad at all. The grads are bussed in and out so they generally arent there all day. The parks were not bad at all those days. The evenings in the other parks may be a little heavier, but with the MYW if people don't have the park hopping option, they cant visit another park in the same day. For that reason, who knows, maybe the day would be a little lighter.

This will be our first trip during the Grad Nights. I am planning accordingly. But I see for the 2 nights it is scheduled during our trip, they are only having emh for mk and ak in the morning. Disney is doing nothing to keep the other parks open later to disperse the crowds, so I would think the other parks would be crowded. We were there once when they closed epcot due to the power failure and let me tell you mgm was wall to wall people and they ran out of wheelchairs and strollers too. My plan b is if it gets unbearable retreat to our resort pool.
