Grad Night Question

We are making our first trip to Disneyland since 1998, have been to WDW 4 times since I have been to DL. I have been reading all the threads by Hydroguy for WDW coming to DL and the grad night ones. But have a question, I know they do a special showing of WOC for the grads on Grad Night. We are visiting June 8-11 and only have one grad night on the 10th. This is the day I was planning on us spending most of the day at DCA. We are making the WOC package reservation at Wine Country for lunch. Should I be concerned about it being harder to find a good spot to view WOC since that is a Grad Night or rethink which day we should plan on doing WOC. TIA

You should be fine. A lot of the grads like to spend the day and early evening in DL. They start coming over later in the night. you also should be good with it not being crowded for WOC since the grads will have their own showing so will probably not see it twice.

I don't think that many grad will be purchasing the WoC Dining Packages, so I don't think you'll see much impact on those viewing areas. I do think some of the regular FP viewing areas might have more grads in it if the students didn't want to spend part of their grad nights hours watching/waiting for WoC.

So planning to spend the majority of the day at DCA should be ok too? We bought park hoppers so plan on heading to DL later in the day after WOC. Hoping DL will be open late.

Great info, will definitely book dining package then and not even consider fast passes. That was my original plan, but just trying to put it all in place now since we are almost to the 60 day mark for reservations.

I think you will be fine. You won't notice it as much until the evening and by then you will be heading to WOC. It might be a good day to do a reserved WOC dinner rather than lunch. Mid-day will be less impacted by grads and maybe a better time to keep focus on DCA.

What time will DL close on Grad Night? It is the first night of our 4 days and just wodering what we should do-we have booked a meal at BB for 9.15 that night. Will we have to leave before then? Do I need to change my meal time? Sorry for all the questions, never had Grad Night when we've been at WDW!

according to what i have read here http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/Events/grad-nights.html and on other threads, Disneyland does not close early as the party is in DCA from 10pm-2am.

By June DL will be on summer hours, closing at 11pm or midnight. 9:15 is practically perfect with regards to grads because by the time you are out of your meal they should have left for their DCA party.
