Does anyone have recommendations for places that have breakfast items that can be bought at the counter and carried away? We'll be going to early entry each day from DLH and will likely want to bring something to eat while we wait in line to enter. I'll bring some granola bars, etc with but any suggestions on places in the hotels or DTD where something can be grabbed in a small number of minutes (and open as early as 6 am since early entry time will be 7 am) that would be good for variety?

I highly recommend getting grocery delivery for breakfast items, then you have them and just grab them and go. Our very first trip we spent too much time waiting in breakfast type food lines in the am IMO.

However La Brea has a express option i believe.

Nothing in DTD will open early :confused3. Jamba Juice was the only thing that opened early and they have good oatmeal, but I think it was the same time as Early Entry.

I'll plan on having groceries but like I said just wondering about something for a break/treat one or two mornings. DLH lists a place called The Coffee House - anyone know if this is open early and quick?

White Water Snacks at GC has a nice selection of breakfast foods. Seems like I got a yummy sandwich there last year and my son got oatmeal. We ate it there, but you could take it with you.

We have only stayed at the DLH once, and that was back in the summer of 2010. That being said, the Coffee House was open by at least 6:30 AM each morning. DH went down and got pastries for us once. I really liked the bear claw, and they don't sell them inside the parks, at least not that I've ever been able to find.

We did bagels w/ peanut butter (for a little protein in the morning), made them in our hotel room and ate on the walk to the park - stayed at Hojo - and finished up while in line to enter parks if anything was left :-)

This held us over until 10-11am when we'd do either another breakfast like Riverbelle Terrace mickey pancakes or we'd just eat a snack we brought in to hold us another hour or two until lunch!

I really thought with all the walking etc we'd get hungry throughout the day but seriously it was as if we were so distracted by everything to see and do we didn't pause to realize we were hungry until our stomachs screamed at us "hey feed me already" LOL:rotfl2:

Can anyone verify if DLH has mini-fridges in the room? Looking on the website it looks like standard rooms may not, thereby ruling out a number of in-room breakfast items.

I just wanted to bump this to get verification on this question of if there is a fridge in the room at DLH.

We are heading down there today. Getting breakfast is always such a pain at DL. You either spend $50+ a head for a character breakfast, or you can get a cup of coffee and a danish, I need a decent sized breakfast to get me through the first part of the day. I appreciate the other options listed above.

Last time we were down there, I just got in the car and hit a nearby McDonald's drive-thru on Harbor and brought that back to the room. That seemed to be the best combination speed and cost. There is also a Coco's and Mimi's out on Harbor, but those places seem to get crowded quick from all of the people staying at hotels nearby.

I would suggest the White Water Snacks in the Grand. Especially if you are going to be going into California Adventure as it is right next to the hotel entrance. They have Breakfast Burritos that are amazing.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that place! They sorta have it hidden.

Just got back fro DLH. There is a small fridge in the room but no freezer. Also, ours was not cooling mych and we called the front desk. They replaced it within 30 minutes but it was replaced with an even smaller unit. Do not count on it holding much

When we were there in August there was nothing open at 0630..I don't I missed anything. We brought stuff from the room Vons delivery.
