Thanks. It was awesome for the almost 8 months I owned it. Starting to regret declining the ins. Prior to this, I had never lost or broken a phone.

I dumped my first Treo in the toilet too so I know how you feel. $550 later, I was in business again.

 Right back at you then. Crap was teasing me that no one he knows had ever dropped their phone in the toilet before. I am sorry that happened to you. I do not know yet what this is going to cost me.

Mine was in the pocket of a dress I was wearing and fell out, pretty much just like yours.

I know what you are going through Kim. I did accidentally drop my cell phone in the toilet just a few days before I went to WDW back in 2007. Good thing it wasn't during the trip or I would be in for a rough time without a cell phone. My family was giving me a hard time about it and luckily I got a new phone just in two days before the trip.

It happened as Crap was loading the car for our trip, Bret. I decided to clear my bladder for the car ride. Unfortunately, I did not have my phone for the whole trip due to that. I wish it did happen a couple days before, so I had time to replace it. Oh well. I am hoping to replace or start repairing it tomorrow. We got in too late last night. Since Crap had to work today after a long trip yesterday, I decided to wait until tomorrow. He needs tonight to relax. He has to go with me, since the phone is in his name.

Kimberly,
Take the cover off the battery and remove the battery. There is a little indicator under there that should be green but is probably pink or red on your phone. That's how they know if the phone for wet.

What carrier do you have? With AT&T I could exchange/purchase it on my own.

Good luck, a nieghbor a ways down the street was selling his furniture, I take it you didn't make it to his yard sale.

I need to have a yard sale to get rid of some of our furniture and stuff that everyone thinks we should store. I don't even want to bring half the stuff I put in the garage while we're painting back in.:rotfl:

Our DDIL has dropped hers in the toilet several times and she's on our phone plan.:rolleyes1 See you're not alone.

Thanks for the advice Alison. I do not own a screwdriver that fits in it. The batteries are buried inside the phone. The indicator is pink according to Crap. I do not have ins anyway, so it does not matter that water killed my phone over something else. I've heard that some plans do not cover water damage when the pink indicator is lit up.

I am with Verizon. I do not think I can purchase a phone without him or sign a new contract (if that is even allowed). Even if I am, I would rather wait for him. That way, he does not say I always get ripped off (which he says all the time), and I do not have to deal with the boys while trying to work it out. Our 16 year anniversary is on Wednesday. I did not want to get two babysitters in three nights. I can watch them while Crap takes care of business. I like it that way. I may not even go with him. It will be easier to watch the boys from the house.

I wish some of you were with me at Disney, because I was teased profusely for days and not one of the 25 people there mentioned they knew someone who had dropped a phone in a toilet. I was already feeling badly that it would take away from our Disney money, so the teasing only made me feel worse.

Kimberly I hope you had a fun trip despite the teasing over the phone and Conner had a great b-day lunch.

It was an amazing trip. Thanks. Connor's lunch was great, except for when my nephew who was playing with Connor knocked him into my future SIL's sprite which landed on her phone. It also broke although not as badly, since it still makes outbound calls. My little sister broke her phone completely at Disney yesterday too. My big sister broke hers by dropping it a few days before Disney. The screen was shattered but it still works. It was a bad week for phones in our family. We all had a different model phone too. My little sister is the only one who has ins. The other two luckily do not have completely unworking phones.

I'm convinced that my last phone fell out of my purse in front of Walt's apartment in a rain storm. We got back to the room and realized it was gone.

That sucked!

Well the night I lost the phone, I was digging my camera out of my purse to take a pictures of the light in his apartment. It wasn't until about four months later when we got up there to see it.
