Thanks Alison I'll check it out. With what we've spent so far I'm hoping we're at the end of the buying spree.

It can be helpful for daily buying, she looks for Costco cards, Rite Aid, and any other places that we normally shop. They have restaurants i think too.

That's a neat secret. I'll have to remember it if I'm ever planning a major shopping spree in the US.

Tired. Been a hard couple of weeks at work and I'm just tired of dealing with personality crap.

I've got two team members that can't work together right now and for some reason, they seem to think that I'm their go between. One is really personable but completely ineffective. The other is not personable and reasonably effective.

Ai Yai Yai Yai Yai!

Now I sit near one of the "gods" I've been hearing more of the behind the scenes business going on. Zoinks...
I deal with minimal personality stuff but I know there are a lot of balancing acts going on in the office being an office of A type personalities who all theink they are right :rolleyes2
Not so mention dealing with the other offices around the country. :crazy2:
There's one guy who it seems doesn't get on with many people...which I'm not surprised at given my last encounter with him :scratchin but that is all is discussed behind his back...

Oh well...
Hope things improve for you :flower3:

I awoke with yet another migraine but giving up on the wonderful thing called sleep, getting up, eating, having drugs, and starting the laundry I'm doing better. Just a slightly stuffed back from the laundry :rotfl:

Perhaps they might come in handy on a trip that we'll be seeing a PTR develop for soon. :rolleyes1

Hopefully you will see a picture soon.

Congrats to the new parents and baby. Hope you get a view soon.

Congrats to all on your friend's baby girl.

Congrats on the baby news Dana :thumbsup2

Thanks, guys! :goodvibes I'll pass your wishes along next time I talk to them :) I did finally get two pictures last night, her husband had gotten busy with unexpected visitors and forgot to send them. They also posted a picture of her on Facebook today. She's beautiful :lovestruc: I can't wait to meet her!

Good evening everyone

I'm wondering what will happen this weekend.

What I read is that when people came in at 7:30 for rope drop, the AP early entree people had started lining up before the regular guests. Another said he went right to the FP line from the 7am hotel entry and CMs told him to go enjoy CL and he went back to the FP line at 7:20 and only a few people were waiting. It started to grow but it must be all the rope drop crowd.

I suppose it's because people come in and can wait 30 minutes for the rope so they may as well get in the FP line. Maybe word is getting around to do this. It's basically what I did, but it sounds worse just days later. Although maybe I just didn't realizing what was happening just around the corner from me.

In this update look at all the people going to the Hollywood Land rope to get in the RSR FP line. Also you can see more of the none preview crowds in CL.

I would say that it will be busy, it won't be as busy as opening week last weekend.

That is just crazy just before the guests are let in for the rope drop that people started to line up. So I really need to plan very well when I go back to DCA during the summertime when I don't have a EE. But I still have a EE to use this summer so I might enjoy CL in the morning and head on over to the RSR line before the rope drop. But I would assume that it will dye down later on this summer. But I don't want to wait in a long line just for a FP for RSR.

It must be if people are telling other people to get there early for the rope drop to get in line for RSR FP line. I wouldn't even spend my time in the morning just to get a FP. You were there when the lower tier SoCal AP holders during your trip and most of them had to get there early in order to get a FP for RSR.

It was just insane to see that long line just for a FP for RSR. I'm glad that my DA and I did the AP preview. So after reading and seeing those pics, I will have to come out with a good plan if I plan on getting a FP for RSR.

This is all crazy! I was wondering because I was thinking about going out to the park solo to ride the ride. I can get an instant FP as long as they are available, but would have to get in line to get one. It would probably be best to wait until the So Cal people are blocked out, but am wondering how early I'd have to get there even to get one! I suppose once I get up there I should get 2-3 so I can ride it a couple of times!

That's nits! Any word on how fast the FPs are selling out?

It sounds like 11am give or take. Hasn't made it to noon and I think the record for fastest finish was about 9:45.

I'm interested how it works out tomorrow because it sounds like last Suday the SoCal APs didn't materialize like AL said and people were shocked it was crazy like he said it would. My concern is APs were scared because word was getting wide spread the DLR was preparing for the worst and the parking and road situation was going to be a mess, but since they didn't come, they will tomorrow.

Throw in the team mix a contractor who thinks he knows everything but is 4 weeks behind where everyone was.

What's the problem. I'm looking in an old textbook and that line is in the definition for Contrator(noun).

Thanks, guys! :goodvibes I'll pass your wishes along next time I talk to them :) I did finally get two pictures last night, her husband had gotten busy with unexpected visitors and forgot to send them. I can understand they are busy. I'm glad you have got a look at her online at least.

The ride has been pretty screwy because of breakdowns. At time they let people keep getting in line when the line wasn't moving at all.

Single Rider has been about 45 minutes and the FP return around 30. These are your other options.

Done for the day.

I watch my friend two kids today. DS had a blast with them. Went to a couple parks I could walk to from thier house. I wished I had a book for quite a bit of it.

Think of when we did ST. In ways it seems the demand for RSR is much worse, longer lines for FP, FP return and standby. Which is bad since RSR has 25% more capacity, but allows for many more FPs to be distributed. ST had calmed down a lot a couple weeks and a month later after it's opening. RSR may have the demand to sustain this craziness for a longer time.

Into August it should be normalizing. Still busy. Hopefully the 101 downtime it's fixed. Is that your D23 visit? I'd make a EE reservation sooner than later because they have been selling out. I think they are mostly selling out because of SoCal APs filling the only chance they have before blockouts. I'd guess during D23 it may have the same pressure from more APs being around.

Morning everyone...

I have started the laundry, had my caffeine and breakfast already! And it is only 11:00am...

I hope I'll be doing that well! It's 9:30 here and I'm still in bed not even dressed yet!

You are right that RSR is a more demanding ride than ST was when it opened last summer. ST did seemed a little calmer when I went last June when I met you and your DS that morning. I won't be surprise to see RSR line that long until later on. Maybe September during the off season will be one of the slowest times to ride RSR.

I figured that CL should be fine (not as busy since CL opened) in mid August before the SoCal AP holders are unblocked. The D23 Expo will be next year in 2013. The Destination D event is in August this year. I am still planning on going to the D23 Expo next year.

I am actually talking about a possible trip in August this year. My DB and his GF are considering going to SoCal for a trip and ask me if I want to join them in order to cut down on their trip. This is also a good opportunity to use the AP EE reservation on those days since I want to take advantage of the EE at DCA. It is just talk right now and I was curious of what CL will be like if I go in mid August.

Bret, aren't you going to Destination-D this summer?

I was about to go to Destination-D that weekend and make a reservation. But I found out a month ago on that weekend, that one of my business partners is doing a trading card event and asked me if I want to go and work that weekend. I thought about it for awhile and I had to make a difficult decision of going to Destination-D or the trading card event. So I chose the trading card event over Destination-D in order to make some money.

This was a tough decision to make since I was looking forward to Destination-D in August. Also the cost of the two day ticket which was quite a lot which is more then the 3 day D23 Expo.

I know that you and Fran are going for that event and hope you have a great time that weekend. This is the interesting part is that the days that my DB and his GF want to go down to DL is after the Destination-D event on the 13th to 15th. I was really shocked to hear that they can go on those three days after Destination-D was over.
