Grab a cup of coffee, or whatever & pull up a seat...it's another Last to Post!

We were at a BBQ for DD's birthday, had a great time with DSIL family and their friends. All the hay is baled and they've started picking it up.

Glad you had a great time and I hope the allergies clear up.

I've just realised that I may have left my camera battery charger behind in Hong Kong.

We've just searched the whole house and I can't find it.

Wonder how much a replacement costs? :sad1:

I'm not even sure I remember packing it. But I know when I checked the room before we left, there was nothing left behind. I just don't know what happened to it from then to when we got home.

*sigh*

That stinks. Sorry to hear that.

Good evening everyone.

Looks like I will be on the thread just a little bit tonight since I was working today. At least I got to go on the threads from my iPad and see how everyone is doing.

Very interesting to see Matt is still not on the boards.

The standard room is $400 a night plus tax. I was not going to book it until the weekend, but the guy I talked to was smooth. He said I can cancel up to 5 days in advance and get a full refund of what I paid to reserve the room. They can also add any discount that comes up to the room as long as it is available for the room type I booked. I agree that the rooms are too expensive, which is why we've never stayed at any before despite our very many trips there.

An ex-co-worker of Crap's used to work for The Disney Hotel and says that PP is not worth staying at unless you get a good deal. At $305 a night, Crap thought it was a rip off. I refused to stay at GC, because it's $485 a night. We just paid $465 for four nights and $480 for three nights at the GF less than 6 months ago. I am not prepared to spend that much again so soon, because I do not want to go into debt to stay there. At least we got free dining for the $465-$480 too. It was the Disneyland Hotel or nothing, but we will have a very small (less than $100) souvenir budget if we do not get a good discount. Since PP was over $400 after taxes cheaper, we would have had almost $500. It is Connor's birthday trip too, so I really wanted to get an in room celebration. We do have our tickets already. My FIL and stepFIL were both in the military. They are going with us, so our 3 day hoppers were only $99.

Glad to see that you got your room for your trip next week. That is a lot a night to stay at the DLH. I would never even pay half of that price to stay at the DLH. I haven't stayed at the DLH in over 20 years and don't plan on staying there. The only time I would stay onsite is the GCH. Even AP discounts are not enough for me to stay onsite. At least you got free dining during your stay. Hopefully Connor's first birthday at the DLR will be a memorable one for him and the rest of your family. Glad to see that you got your tickets before the ticket price went up tomorrow or just about half an hour.

Sorry to hear that you lost your camera charger. Replacing camera battery charger is not cheap.

I'm going to take another look round the house again...most likely tomorrow when I've calmed down again.

Technically, the Canon 550D or the T2i has now gone back to DH; so I kinda feel like I need to give it back to him in one piece. Especially because I did "take" the camera from him in the first place. If I can't find it, then I guess I'll have to spring for a replacement.

Sometimes Matt goes away. He doesn't always share before he goes away. Maybe we need to have a code for him so that we don't worry so much.

Good evening.

We got free dining at GF last stay. There are no offers like that at any of the DLR hotels. This will be our first DLR stay.

I've never stayed at a DLR hotel. We normally stay at one of the good neighbour hotels. Anaheim is completely different to the way the World is set up.

But I'm glad that you booked in to a hotel and I hope that you get a deal come out for your travel period.

Hope your stay will be magical.

I will read your DCL TR tomorrow. I saw that your DH started a account on the threads.

I should be sleeping right now then being on my CPU.

I'll talk to you later.

Have a good night or day everyone.

Used the Twilight zone time to look up the VIP Tour you mentioned Alison. There is not a lot of info on it.

Is Matt still MIA? I am getting concerned now too, since no one has heard from him.

Yeah, I am definitely worried about Matt. I hope he is OK, and I hope we have some way to find out if he is. I certainly do not want to ask my ex-husband's brother if his student's father is OK!

Hopefully he'll check in at some stage before we have to resort to that long bow.

Yeah that was one couple degrees of separation that blew me away! Being that I met Tim we were only two degrees apart, but as Matt and I know each other and I was married to his teacher's brother that is weird!

So sorry PIO :( That's one of those "that sucks" losses...

It's technically easily replaced so not as bad as having your camera with memory card still in it lost. But...it majorly sucks

Still haven't got any more caught up with your TR PIO. Just so distracted and multi tasking when I'm on the computer. I've just gotten to the start of your dining at the Peak. I do NOT like where it is headed  I honestly don't know how you cope with that.
I have a vegetarian friend and when at Yum Cha we have sometimes had to battle to find options. But she's so great about it and we have always found SOMETHING...

Watched 5 episodes of Downton Abbey today :teeth: Sadly that means only 3 left of season 2 :sad1: but oh well...
Been interesting seeing the places I've walked and seen...and seeing the stuff that is different.

Hope everyone (including skiing) is well :wave2:

I've just started on Day 6. You are quite a few days behind the times!

Got something to distract me tonight; so I might not be on so much. Enjoy Downton....isn't the second season starting tonight?
