GPS Tracking app for iPhone

Hi everyone,

We are planning trips to DLR and WDW over the next year. My wife and I often split up when we go places if our kids want to see different things, or one gets tired, etc. I was thinking it might be useful to have a GPS tracking app on our iPhones so that we can find each other when we want to meet up again. Texting each other doesn't always work so well because sometimes I don't hear my phone so I don't text back right away. It would be nice if I could just look at my phone and know that wife is in Fantasyland or wherever and just go there. When we go to WDW, we will be going with another family, so there will be even more people to keep track of.

Anyone ever use a GPS tracking app (for iPhone) at WDW or DLR? Bonus points if the app has built in maps for the parks.

There's an app that comes on iPhones called "Find Friends" that will probably serve your needs. We went to Disney with friends last year and used it several times to find each other in the parks.

The iPhone's Find my Friends app works great. My husband and I use it all the time; I've even used it to find him when we split up in target. If you have other people and they have iphones, you can share your location info for a specific time, or allow them and then disallow them - perfect for that situation. If they don't have iPhones, then that's not so useful. I'm actually strongly encouraging my mom to switch to iPhone and a main reason is FMF, they travel a lot and I would love to be able to keep track!

Haven't used it in the parks, but we use Find My iPhone to track one person - you do have to know their iTunes login, though. Have you tried Find Friends? I am pretty sure it comes with the iPhone..

Just use the built in "Find my iPhone" app. You can view other people on your apple friends/family list and see their location as long as they have their location on
