GP Code up

Just got off with reservations and was able to modify my reservation to include FREE DINING!!!! :cool1: ...my travel dates are 12/6-12/15. Thanks to all on the board for heads-up and info!:thumbsup2

YAY!!! We just got free dining and saved over $900!!!! We are staing at the CBR and we had to upgrade our son because he was going to be 10 when we went. We are so excited!!!

Happy for the ones who likes it, but personally, I would have preferred room only discount... FD is not good for me... I do not eat dessert, you tend to eat too much because you do not want to loose credits and it is not free anyway because you still have to pay gratuity and the breakfast is not included .

Well, maybe in march... I will dream of that wonderfull 4/7 + $200.00 promotion !

There is a room only too! It's kind of hidden, but it's there! Plug your info in and see what you get.

Marie, you should check the website. I too prefer a room only discount. I just searched my dates on the Disney site for a room only reservation. I called and changed my reservation I was able to save quite a bit. The woman told me the code was KHP.

We already have a reservation at POP with the DP. Does anyone know if you can get the CS FD but just pay the upgrade fee? Is there a separate code for that like there was for Visa FD? I have to wait for my TA to be up to apply FD - ugh! Maybe booking on your own has its perks!!
TIA

Since DH and I have never been to Disney, I don't know if we'd come out better with FD. How much does a couple normally spend on dining there? We would need to buy a ticket to get the deal, right? We already have 7 day tickets.

We already have reservations on a 7 day hold, but the room only deal would save us around $180.

Yes- I booked online, and did just that.

I had a room only res with my AAA agent, but I did not want to wait for her to roll in at 10, so I just booked online myself, and will cancel with her. I didn't want to take any chances.

It's hard to say. You can see menus with pricing on allears.net. Compare what you'd spend out of pocket and see if you come out ahead- you'd have to buy at least a 1 day ticket.

Who knows she might be on the phone already....I've been on hold since 7 am on the TA Disney phone lines.....so our lines are alot busier than the GP lines.

And you should be I just booked a client for Deluxe Dining and just paid the difference from Reg Dining to Deluxe:)

I tried 'fake' booking - how far do you have to do before you put the code? What code did you use the QS one or something different?

My husband and I went for 10 days in January 2009. We don't like to be tied to ADRs or worry about whether we want an appetizer instead of dessert, etc. We ate at several TS restaurants without ADRs, bought snacks as the urge hit (sometimes multiple snacks instead of a CS lunch), sometimes had breakfast at a TS restaurant, etc. Since we had family on the same trip using the DDP, we kept track. We ended up spending exactly the same amount as we would have with the dining plan, but without worrying about whether it "met" the guidelines of what was and wasn't included on the DDP.

So for us, it wouldn't have saved us any money and would have increased my headaches.

But I know we're in the minority. Lots of folks love the DDP and swear by it.

For 2 adults you would be saving $39.99 per adult per night...so $80/night. Can you eat on $80 per day or less? $80* 7 = $560 savings

Hope these numbers help a little

On hold for 40 minutes but FREE FOOD!!!! We are going 11/29 - 12/6 so the date on the main page saying through 11/24 isn't complete.

If you go through the special offer link, you do not have to put in a code- it does it automatically for you. It should have a banner that says something like Oct-Dec. special in a white bubble.

 I booked it online and we are all set for dh and I to go in November at the resort we wanted!! :yay:

Good luck to everyone!
