I wasn’t in the least surprised to see all 3 of the NYC area airports listed. Guess they’ll hit MacArthur on Long Island and Westchester later in the week to complete things.
Of course both Chicago airports are on there. What a shock considering how much they love us... /s
United has already said that the flights canceled on their end will be regional or non hub domestic. So hub to hub and international flights will take priority to keep on schedule. They will be doing rolling cancelations so hopefully people will have multiple days warning for the flights impacted by this. Communication on what flights are impacted will be available on the app, on their website, and they will be emailing customers.
In addition United WILL be offering refunds to any customer impacted by these cancelations OR, if you simply no longer want to travel and cancel, they will refund no matter the ticket type.
Do we know how Disney is going to handle this if someone's flights are cancelled? We already paid for rooms, tickets, and lightning lanes.
Unfortunately, our flights to MCO next week are JetBlue at 8:30pm and the flights home are SW. If we can't get down there (because the JetBlue flights are canceled), but the SW flights are not canceled, I don't think SW is going to be very sympathetic.
