So, I keep seeing all kinds of posts about how tough it is to get ADRs... We just called for ADRs in late June, and have gotten everything we wanted, including 7:30 dinner at Le Cellier and 7:45 at Rose and Crown (for Illuminations). As I started thinking about it, I realized that I have never had any issues getting ADRs, even a few days before my trip at peak times. Le Cellier, CG, name it. I am beginning to think that this is because we DON'T do the DDP - do they limit the # of DDP reservations at any given time??

(This may be well-known to everyone else here, so sorry if this is a silly question!!!)

I do not think so....normally when i call to make an ADR I am not even asked about DDP up front...after I find the time I want they ask about DDP...maybe it is just a fluke...I do not know. People call and cancel all of the time...maybe you just got luck with LeCellier.:confused3

I think many people just cancelled LeCellier based on their updated menu. I've had trouble making adrs for California Grill and CP and Chef Mickey's if not right at the 180ish mark.
I think you are a very lucky person and I'd like to give you my ADR list to call for me! :)

mckycrzy - I think they asked me first, but I don't know if that means anything!!!! For all they know, we'd show up and order an appetizer and water to split, right?

Disneychix - anytime!! I did set up Le Cellier a couple of weeks ago, before the new menu was posted everywhere, I think... I gotta admit, I'm thinking about Yachtsman Steakhouse now....

(I now hijack my own thread - An abbreviated list of menu items that I miss:
maple bbq filet(Le Cellier)
Tabouleh wrap (ABC commissary)
Chicken Sate kebabs (little stand in DAK)

and the all time bad-decision food yank by Disney??? CHOCOLATE COVERED CHEESECAKE FROZEN ON A STICK - at DHS, it was there a few months after it opened (I ate about 6 of them), then disappeared...waah....)
