GotG Cosmic Rewind AP previews

This is the first I heard of photopass where is it located
When we left the ride building, it was on the right. We posed in front of the ship that the guardians use. The line for that was pretty long. I was under the impression that it might have been special for the previews, but not sure. Our photos were taken around 11am on Tuesday 5/10, so maybe they’re not there all day?

For those of you who actually got ride photos:
1. How old is your magic band (wondering if ours were too old)?, and
2. Did you scan that QR code cube thingy in the queue?

We won’t have another chance to ride until fall, but maybe it will help someone else get a photo to work. We did stand in line for the photopass photos though, and those are fun.
Scanning the QR Code will assist you in making sure your phone is setup to (hopefully) link the photo to your account. Bluetooth needs to be enabled on your smartphone and the MDE mobile app needs permission to access it.

We got our GOTG ride photos on two different days. Our magic bands are 50th anniversary bands that we bought last fall. We did not scan the QR code cube thing. The photos just showed up as they do on other rides. Hope this helps!

Has anyone missed their time slot and tried to ride after? It looks like there is a small chance I may have to reschedule my flight on Saturday afternoon to the first flight out on Sunday. That would put me at the park probably an hour after my reservation time. I am guessing I am out of luck, but was hoping that maybe they are letting people with a reservation still ride if they arrive after their reservation time.

If your MB is a couple years old, it's probably too old. I received a new MB in May 2021 when I activated my AP voucher, and the long-distance battery was already dead by December. (I'm assuming it was leftover pre-pandemic stock.)

I rode Guardians on Tuesday with an MB from last October - I got my pic.

While I didn't scan the QR code in Guardians, I did scan one in another line (I think 7DMT), and all it did was take you to a page telling you to turn on Bluetooth and disable Power Saving Mode on your phone so that PhotoPass would pick up your device.

One thing you can do if you don't get your pictures on a ride with automated PhotoPass - you can go to one of the PhotoPass shops at any of the parks, and they can pull the photo for you. Just make a mental note of the approximate time you rode, and they'll look through all of the ones that were taken around that time.

(I did this in December with the dead MB - Test Track was displaying photos too quickly, so I missed mine on the reader and the sensor didn't pick up my band. The PhotoPass shop next to Spaceship Earth was able to find it and attach it.)

After you leave the park - you can reach out to PhotoPass and they can try to find it.

The photographers were still around until at least 5pm on Tuesday - they were gone when I came out of the ride just after 6pm.

Any idea if the LL queue skips a lot of the interesting stuff in the standby line?
There are a whole bunch of displays and videos in the standby line that I assume would not be in the LL queue. (I'll let someone else confirm.) Nothing critical to the ride, just a little more backstory. The LL queue does include a brief moment in the main rotunda area where the indoor queue starts, but the main projection there is slow enough and long enough that you might not get anything out of it.

Btw - one of the displays/videos in the queue felt a little bit like a reference to the old Horizons queue.

I'll use this moment to note of my minor disappointments: Rocket doesn't sound like he's voiced by Bradley Cooper. It seemed more obvious in one of the videos in the queue line - but it honestly threw parts of the whole thing for me. It made certain pieces feel a little bit like a cheap knockoff in comparison to Mission Breakout (DLR).

I'm hoping it was just an availability issue, and that they'll replace it at some point.

I had an 11:30-12:00 window today. Got in line at 11:15, and was walking into the building by 11:27. The ride is amazing. Unfortunately, even though I'm not at all prone to motion sickness...I got quite sick on it. I really had to keep from throwing up, both on the ride, and afterward. Was not well until just a little while ago.
Can I ask how long it was from check in to leaving the ride?

I had a lot of “issues”for the Remys Adventure Preview and just had to explain everything to castperson and then to the Cast Lead when they were available.
I think you will be allowed to ride… Good luck with all the trip planning.

Has anyone tried checking in late from their scheduled time slot on either their AP or DVC preview day? We are scheduled for 11:30am - noon, however our flight from the previous day has been changed to early that morning. We won't be able to get to Epcot until 3pm that day. I can't change my scheduled time obviously and I'm wondering if they might let us check-in late. Thank you!

I just got the DVC email and you have to check into the park before 1 regardless of your return time. I think it's not the case if you actually have a park reservation for Epcot though. I can't tell how long they might allow past your arrival window.

It will vary a lot, based on how well the ride is operating that day. That poster was likely in and out in 30-40 minutes. I had a late afternoon slot on a day with operational issues, and it took me roughly 90 minutes from check-in to exit. (Roughly 40 minutes to get inside the building, and another 30 to reach the first pre-show. Pre-shows and ride took approximately 20 minutes.)

Sorry, but I was feeling so sick that I was focused on not vomiting, and didn't look at the time.
I got very sick feeling too. Never vomited, but close.
Has anyone tried doing a ride swap? My 5 year old won't be riding
The height requirement is 42 inches; I don’t think a child will be let into the queue unless they meet it. There is a Rider Switch waiting area guests get to by asking at the first point when the CM asks how many in your party at the boarding area. The access is straight ahead and your waiting people will be in a room you go through just after unloading.

For those that have said they didn't feel well during/after the ride...did you take any medication or do anything beforehand? I am hoping my Dramamine I normally take is enough

I took meclizine every night of our trip including the night before we rode GotG. That worked as well as my transdermal scop patch did for every other thing I rode during the trip that normally would make me sick...except GotG.

I recovered fairly quick, but no way could have ridden a second time. I wonder if taking ginger pills or candy while in line would have helped?

I didn't take anything. The only attraction I have ever had a problem with was Mission Space orange. I'm not prone to motion sickness, so I never considered taking anything.

I did take Dramamine about 45 minutes before just because of the ‘Omni’ turning motions I heard about. I normally don’t take anything. My DH said my face was totally white when I got off and my hair was totally sweat.
I still felt like throwing up for about 5-10 minutes, but mostly recovered in about 20 minutes except for a slight headache.

I ride the little roller coasters with no problem - Barnstormer, Flight of the Hippogriff at Universal IOA and don’t have a problem with motion sickness in general in rides like Remy, Star Tours, Dinosaur, Flight of Passage, any of the Star Wars Rides, 7 Dwarf’s Mine Train, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Mission Space green version, Forbidden Journey at IOA or Soarin‘ .
I don’t like roller coasters in general, so haven’t ridden the big ones (Rock N Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest). I got slightly queasy at the end of Slinky Dog where it has all of the quick up and downs, but was fine by the time the ride ended.
