Got VWL for Christmas this morning

Decided to cancel a Spring Break trip (one brother backed out, other too iffy). Me, DD, and my parents already in BCV 2BR the week before Christmas and I thought DD and I might just extend our trip. On a whim, I asked about availability for anywhere 12/24 - ? this morning. Didn't expect anything to be available, but I got a pleasant surprise. OKW and VWL each had a 1 BR. I took 12/24 - 12/28 (could also have had 29th).

I didn't expect anything to be open... never been to VWL or WL... can't believe we got in for Christmas!

From what I've gathered on this board, VWL is absolutely spectacular during the holidays! We just closed on our VWL contract today (!) and plan to call at the 11-month mark to book for Christmas 2005. In the meantime, we'll be at BWV during the holiday season this year -- can't wait -- first time at WDW during the holidays! Hard to believe that Christmas isn't all that far away!!

Wow!! Congrats!! I would've thought VWL would've had a waiting list a MILE long!!!

I called yesterday to see if ANYTHING was available Dec 3-8...the VERY nice MS CM had to suppress her laughter!!!! She told me the ENTIRE DVC is sold out that week!! I wasn't surprised...I just had to ask!!!

I hope you have an AMAZING Christmas at what has got to be one of the PRETTIEST resorts ever!!!

You're going to have a great time. We've stayed in VWL in early December a few years ago. Like everyone says -- VWL really goes all out for Christmas. Just beautiful!

You also may be able to take advantage of the horse-drawn carriage rides they have on the property while you're there. We just missed it; it started the day we left. However, it seemed like an extra-special treat.

Be sure to pack warm clothes, and lots of layerable stuff. When we were there in early December the temps ranged from 40 to 75 degrees!
