got two AKV villas for thanksgiving!

WE have a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom for Thanksgiving at AKV's. Any special rooms to request onthe Zebra Trail? Has anyone done THanksgiving at AKL and recommend activities? We have been several times but this time ages range from 80-5yrs. Oh MY!

Can't speak directly to Thanksgiving, never been at that time...but AKV offers some activities around the resort, such as the storytelling each evening by the firepit for the little ones, and there certain grand gatherings things you can do as a group, you need to check with MS or on the website for more specifics. Don't know if when you say activities you are speaking of those that cost or anything free around the resort area. There are "safari's" available that are discounted if you are staying conceirge level. And I believe about $210 per person not discounted.

Have you ever been to AKL? The lodge itself offers a great pool, and savannah viewing all over the resort. It's a great way to spend an hour or so, just sitting in a rocker in the viewing areas checking out the animals.

You should also call the Lodge directly for a more detailed list of what it has to offer. Enjoy your trip, I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Bomas has a special Thanksgiving dinner or they did the year we were there. It is so good. The lodge is decorated so nice. Have a great trip. I just love being there this time of year, but not this year for us.

I would also recommend Boma. My girlfriend ate Thanksgiving meal At Bomas last year and could not say enough about it. Christmas decorations should be up by Thanksgiving so the resort will be absolutely beautiful while you are there.

Off topic- When did you book your reservation? Was it a waitlist that recently came through. I am waitlisted for Wed and Thurs of Thanksgiving week at BWV since exactly at the 7 month mark. I am looking for any hope that waitlists are coming through for Thanksgiving!
