I just received a letter in the mail that says..
"Happiest Faces on Earth...A Disney Family Album" is an exciting element of our 50th Anniversary Celebration.
From July 17,2004-December 31, 2004 we are inviting you, as Shareholders, to send us your favorite Disneyland photographic memories. We're looking for your family photos taken here, at the Disneyland Resort from anytime during the past 50 years!
We will then combine your photos with thousands of others to creat giant photo collages of classic collages of classic Disney characters and imagery. These collages will then be displayed during the "Happiest Homecoming On Earth" 59th Anniversary Celebration throughout Disneyland. park and the Resort. WE will also create a specail photo collage exclusively of our shareholders' photos!
We are excited to be able to weave your photos and maigcal memories in to the actual fabric of these unique collages. It is a terriffic way to include our Shareholders in the celebration like never before!
To submit your photos, please fill out the enclsed Authorization to Use Photograph and Likeness (release) form and mail it, along with your photos tot he address below. Unfortunatly, photos cannot be returned.
then it goes on with some fine print...5 photos per person, not all photos will be used etc......
The picture they sent of the collages is of a big Mickey Mouse and it looks beautiful!! It is one of those wonderful photo mosiacs. Unfortunatly, we have never been to Disneyland...only DisneyWorld, so we will not be participating. There does not seem to be a cost involved with this (only cost of sending photos). They also say that after they receive the photos they will send an email telling you they received them and where the general placement of the photo in the collage will be. I guess right now it is for shareholders only but since only one collage will be dedicated to shareholdersI would guess the public will be invited to participate....maybe they will have to pay?? It does not say anything about this. Well, I just thought I would share this.
