Got the Swan for a discount NYE week!!

I wanted to share this because everyone on this board has been
so great and I have learned and saved soo much! I just got
the Swan for $237.00 per night for Dec. 29th. The regular rate
is $300+ . I already had two free nights from Starwoods points
but needed this third night and hated to pay $300+

I have tried 50% off award, allears codes, AAA, entertainment
rate - no discounts! Last night I was looking at the starwood
site when I noticed under special offers 35% off at selected resorts until Dec.31 2004. I put in orlando and both the Swan
and Dolphin came up with the rate of $237.00 I booked it right
away! You have to book it through the special offer section
at the starwood site, not through the regular reservation section, and you have to be a starwood member but joining is free. It does not cost any points for this offer.

We stayed at Swan last NYE week and it was super! Very convenient to MGM, Epcot. Upgraded to CL and staff was wonderful and food offerings and service wonderful. Thabo is great. We are SPG members and we joined just for that first stay. We got teacher's discount of $214 for CL because we didn't have enough points to upgrade then..we do now! Loved having spg amex..we really rack up the points. We are planning to use 2 nights worth at the Swan July 3 and 4 before we check into Poly GVC.
