Great.....

I have a new boss and was lucky enough to pick his name out of the hat :rolleyes1

We are an elementary school and he's the Principal. For the first time in my life I'm older than my boss! :lmao: He is married and has two small children (4 and under)

On his card he wrote:

likes: iPod touch apps, shopping, Chipotle, shopping

We are limited to $20.

Obvious gift will be gift cards. I'm thinking $10 in iTunes and $10 for Chipotle... but how do I "package" them so they're not so boring?

Any ideas?

Get a cheap folding picture frame (so it would hold 2 photos) from Walmart. Take a picture of the school and put it in one half, and the GC's on the other half.

I like this idea!

Another thing I've done is to buy some little stuffed animals to hold gift cards. If you give him two, he could give one to each of his kids.

You could also package the cards in a small gift bag with some candy or other goodies thrown in - like homemade cookies, teabags, packets of cocoa, etc.

I'm guessing Chipotle has gift cards. With $20 he could probably take his DW and kids to lunch. Also, there are iTunes gift cards in various denominations.:santa:

I'd just pick either i-tunes or the local mall and get him a giftcard/certificate for one. Its that time of year where he'll need to be buying gifts and the certificate for the mall might come in handy - especially since he listed shopping.

I'd peek around his office and see if he's missing anything - like a picture frame, business card holder, etc. and then give him the card/certificate in that. $20 might be the limit, but its a new boss, so going over by a few dollars isn't going to hurt anyone. :) Make sure you write on it somewhere the year, school, and your name, too.

So, I guess Chipotle is a restaurant. When I read that he wanted Chipotle for his present, I was going to suggest that you go to www.stonewallkitchen.com and order him some Maple Chipotle Grilling Sauce for Christmas. It is absolutely delicious!

But, I guess that's not what he meant based on the other comments. :rotfl:

As for presenting GCs, wrap it/them in a small box. Why waste money on a frame that he may not need/want? Spend the money on the GC instead.

I'd say a $15 or $20 iTunes gift card. It's a great present to give incase you arn't quite sure what the person would like. Plus it never expires (I don't think) and it combines both iTunes apps and shopping! Best of both worlds :)

is it cheating (as far as the $$ limit) to give a present that you already have?

I have some Disney pictures frames that I purchased already and can use those.

It seems his family loves Disney also!
