Got the free dining code- but in someone else's name!

I got a postcard to our address with someone else's name on it. Have no idea who it is. The CM said we could use it if it is our address. Is she right? I thought you couldn't.

Well if she is going to apply it to your trip good for you! I think it depends on the CM you get if she said yes than go for it!

I too think it is based on the CM. Although I spoke to one at length once and got all the way through and once the realized I was not taking the person with me (my aunt) even though the pin came to my home they told me it couldn't be done. So who the heck knows. Go for it and if they let you wonderful, but be prepared not to be able to use it.

I didn't have her try to use it, just asked the question. I guess i should have. Maybe there is a glitch in the system and they have a lot of mixed up addresses and names.

Yes, you can use it!!! I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago with free dining. If you call back and they tell you that you can't use it, have them transfer you to Guest Services. The CM I had was very nice. I didn't even have to ask if I could use it, just told him my situation and he put me on hold while he spoke to GS's, came back and said they would have no problem honoring it.

I keep getting pins sent to my email in a different name. No one I'm related to or know. I've had the same email for over 10 years! I'm gonna call today and ask them to fix it b/c I have received 3 pins alone this year in this guys name.

Good luck. They told me they would fix my issue too and I got the same free dining pin yesterday, addressed to the same person. Hey, as long as they keep honoring them, bring 'em on!!

I get pin codes with my niece's name mailed to my address. We have different last names-- always have- and we have never been to WDW together. It is very strange!
