Got the dreaded "sorry for the paws" message this morning

I've had to call and speak with a live agent to book every single reservation even though online the dates are open for my entire vacation. The apps (iPhone and iPad) don't even allow me the option to book past 180 days. Blah

Since many DIS members go to WDW on a regular basis, I'm curious as to why all of the anxiety to get specific reservations. We usually go once every year or so and have tried many restaurants. For our last trip in mid December, I didn't book the trip until October and still got most of my first choices when I wanted them. I shuffled a few around as reservation slots opened. I can't even imagine getting up in the middle of the night to book ADRs. Of course, if this is someone's first or only time, that would make a difference.

That's good your plan works out for you. For some of us, reservations add to the overall experience, no matter how many times we go, kind of tradition, so it's important.

Problem is, the folks that do the research and want to plan, shouldn't get screwed by WDW lack of decent IT infrastructure. That is what this thread is about.

I'm at 180 days today and I got the Paws too. I'm not even calling in. I have a BB FD and I will probably cancel it as it's not such a good deal - even with all 4 of us as Disney adults - and book a magical deal for October instead, which works better with our schedule. I was just curious what was available online and practicing. Only the first day is going through. I'll wait until later this week.

It's really just so silly that with all this MyMagic "enhancements" we are back to pre-2011 for online ADRs. o_O

FWIW, I've found the apps don't work for booking past 180 days; you need to use a desktop PC and the MyDisneyExperience.com web site to get access beyond the 180 day window.

I will never use the app to book ADR's on my ADR day. That app is a real mess most of the time. I never had a problem using safari on my ipad (at least the past 2 years I had no issues). But tomorrow morning I can make adrs and am using my desktop computer.

Today was my 180 day mark and the app wouldn't let me select a date past our check in day. So I used the website and tried multiple times before I gave up and called. I got the "enhancements" excuse from the cast member as usual but she was very nice and helpful.

I'm starting to get worried though because my reservations are still not showing up in MDE. I made the mistake of not writing down my confirmation numbers since I was out at a restaurant and trying to get off the phone quickly. Does anyone know about how long it takes phone ADRs to show up in MDE?

FWIW, when I made a phone reservation for the Wanyama Safari, it showed up instantly in MDE...

Did they show up yet? I just made our adrs over the phone at 7am. I did write down each confirmation number, because the lady on the phone said if they don't show up automatically, then link them. As soon as I linked the first reservation, they all showed up. Maybe call and get your confirmation numbers so you can do this.

Thanks! I did end up calling to get the confirmation numbers and when I linked the first one, they both showed up in MDE. I think the issue was she put it under the resort reservation holder's name (not me) and my e-mail address, so it wasn't showing in any of our MDE accounts!

Ugh, why can't they fix this! So aggravating! Mine is at the end of March but I've not really got any hope this is going to be fixed by then. It sounds like there is no trick to getting this to work. Normally the bugs have a way around like using Chrome or Safari on you iPad etc. but it looks like most are reporting that the only way is calling in. Yuck. Sigh.

The problem is not just the app. I got "paws" using Chrome on a PC.

Same. I tried IE, Firefox, and Chrome and nothing worked in terms of booking 180+ reservations even though the dates were available for selection. It was frustrating!

Yeah I was on my desktop this morning and it still wouldn't let me book past my first day. All my dates were highlighted, but after I chose a time, the stupid paws message would come up. I then tried from safari on my ipad and the same issue. Luckily calling was successful and quick.

Yeah I hate it when that or someone ate the page comes up. It is so frustrating especially when the ADR you want is on the line.

Just want to add that this is NOT a system/program/user issue ( for MOST)

Yes, there are people that are able to book their entire 180+10 online without any problems, but this is not the case for most

This happened to us starting with our July 2015 trip --- and continued with our last (2) trips --- 11/15 and
Now for 7/16

And in almost all cases, it has nothing to do with linking your resort reservation. This is a glitch on Disneys end, and for some reason, despite numerous calls and e-mails detailing the issue, they have been unable to fix it.
We've had to call and make each ADR on our 180 +10 day the last three trips, and depending on the CM, it took forever -- yes, there are far more pressing things to stress about during everyday life, but I don't understand why Disney IT can't fix this ---

Today was my 180. I got all of my ADR's by 6 am cst. I got the Paws message a few times but just clicked close and then clicked find table again. I did it all on my phone using chrome. I also had to sign in 2 extra times to be able to see my + 10 days.
So glad it wasn't the nightmare I feared it would be.
