Got the BCV

Hi everyone!
I often see posts about people wondering if they can get BCV at 7 months. I'm happy to announce I got it today for Aug 20-26! I also got it last year for F& W at 7 months so it is possible! I'm so excited to go again! I was thinking of trying a new place since this will only be by 2nd time home, but I left it up to my parents. When I asked what their choice order was, my dad (who has seen all the initials and abbreviations on here), said "B.... C..... V". He is almost 71 and it was just the cutest thing, lol!! I think we are going to go for the dining plan bc we want to do the Clam Bake, the Biergarten, WCC, Hoop De Doo, prob SciFi Diner, and it really does seem worth the price after looking at the menus on allears. Anyone else think so? Tomorrow I hope to add on the 27th and then Monday to add on the 28th bc now we've decided to add on 2 days to the trip. Hopefully we won't have to move - but if we do - I'll still be on Have a good weekend all!!! Great way to start a Friday with a great call to MS!!!

We too had no problem in securing a ressie at BCV 7 months out. We will be there from August 12-22, 2007 in a one bedroom. Congrats on your ressie and Welcome Home again.

It's great bc I was so worried before buying in that it would be so hard to get BCV and now I'm 2 for 2 We'll overlap so maybe I'll pass you in the hallway! Welcome home to you too

That is great for you! I will be calling on Monday for ours, August 23-28. We, too, hope to arrive on the 20th, but we are now planning on staying at the Polynesian for 3 nights on points and then BCV for 5. I figured I would wait until Monday to book the whole thing. I do hope we do not have any trouble getting it. We have been lucky the 2 times so far that we booked BCV at 7 months also. We were going to do a 1 bedroom, but have decided to downgrade to a studio and stay at the Poly one extra night and we too will be doing DDP for our first time.

EDITED: My DH vacation time got changed so we had to change our dates for the BCV portion of the trip. We are now going August 14-20 and then off to the Poly on the 20th. I called last Thursday (Feb. 1) as soon as I found out and was told they were very full, but I got the studio. I was so happy and I guess in turn someone else might be happy because then the 23-28th opened up for someone else.

That is so funny. I can't imagine my dad talking in DIS-speak.
Your luck at the 7month window is nothing short of inspirational to a new SSR owner like me.

I know how you feel!! I was able to switch over at 7 months for 9 days in July at BCV! I am very excited to try this one!!

We got BCV at 7 months too.
We'll be there July 29 - Aug. 3. Can't wait!!

We also got BCV at the 7 month mark for August 19-24 for a 2 bedroom. I called day by day and had asked the CM what my chances were like and she said I should be OK, but to make sure I call daily and early each day. I did and got what I wanted with no problem. I called at the 7 month mark for my April/May trip and got BWV-studio-standard view (but did have to waitlist for 2 nights and finally got). I had a backup at the BCV for 12 nights that I called at the 7 month window-checkout day, but cancelled it when my waitlist came through. I did use my BWV points to get my 12 night studio-standard stay for mid-October and called at the 11 month window day by day for that one. I think I'm set now for 2007. Now all I have to do is pack for my trip to the WLV for next week and hope it doesn't snow here to delay my departure...

Congrats on getting BCV at 7 months. By the way, the DDP is totally worth it, especially if you consider that tax and tip is included in your table service meals. Althought the food is served buffet-style, the Biergarten is really cute with the oompa band. There is even a dance floor if one has had enough beers to participate!

By the way, OP, how is it living near Six Flags? Do you go all the time in season, or is it "old stuff" to you? Just curious.

I also got a 2brm at BCV for June 2-9 at 7mos. No problem - didn't even have to call day by day!! It will be our 1st time staying there and we are all soooo excited. SAB is waiting for us!!

I stayed last August on the dining plan at BCV. Just a heads up. I also had my 74 yo Dad with us. He hated the dining plan. Too much food for him. My DH and I would do it again in a heart beat. But my Father would not.

I just called today and we got the BCV from Aug.23-Aug.29 (studio), without a problem. As you can see it is exactly 7 months. This is the 3rd time we have gotten BCV at the 7th month mark. Have fun and see you there!!

I just called today to see if I could cancel the split stay portion of my reservation at SSR and add to the BCV part so we wouldn't have to move. I was able to secure a 1bedroom at BCV for May13 and 14 to add on to our 15-19 reservation!! I really didn't think I would have a chance this late!!

I also just got a BCV reservation at 7 months for late August. (Did not call day-by-day.) This is our 2nd DVC trip, and we loved SSR, we look forward to returning there, but we thought we really should try out other resorts as well. We are all excited to jump into SAB!
