got some 2009 rates

It looks like the DDP is about $40/PP . We just booked a standard room at the POFQ for 4/8-4/17 for $205/night plus tickets & dining!!!!

I am so excited:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Just booked my Easter 09 at a value resort during peak season. The price was
$152.55 with tax
before room increase $135.00 with tax
difference= 17.55
I think that is a huge increase in room rate and the value resorts IMHO is not worth the price. We will end up staying off property for that trip.
We will loose EMH but since the parks are open so late in the PM over Easter and our kids are young and we weren't going to use EMH anyways. We are also AP holers and parking is free.

We booked for 8 night at POP with DDP and park hopper no water park 8 day tickets. Our total was 3076.80. For the same trip last year, we paid 2964.08 last year. With gas prices up, we decided this wasn't bad. Now we only have 6 more months to get psycho with waiting.:goodvibes

Quick question...

Is there a different weekend rate during the value season?

I did a room only res. yesterday for the All Star music Suite and the confirmation came back with the following rates. This is all '09 before tax.

Aug 6 (Thur) $265.00
Fri, Sat. (7, 8) $285.00
Sun, Mon, Tue (9, 10, 11) $184.00

Looks like some hybrid between max weekend rates, summer rates, and value all mixed together.

I'm guessing it won't matter until I do the package anyway. I just thought I would get a ressie for max value rates before the official numbers came out. Am I mistaken?

Yes it doesn't matter what season its in the weekend rates are here to stay. No matter what. Those peak season squished my hopes in March and April. How about a AAA discount?? Worth a shot, good luck!

I understand that is the time of year we usually go and family loves to stay at the Riverside, I just couldn't give those rates to hubby. I was looking at the Clarion Waterpark so I am debating the same issue myself. Good thing about the annual pass getting the free parking enjoy. I know it was around October and January that they issued the discounts for April. Happy Planning whatever you decide!:)

We just booked 5 nights Wilderness Lodge 08.26.09-08.31.09 in a standard room including 10 day base passes and new quick service DDP 2 Adults 2 Children (5,2) for a total of $2418.25. We intend to add another 5 nights at BWV in a month or so.

How did you get that rate? We booked 6 nights at WL woods view w/bunk beds and basic DDP 3 adults and 1 child for $3,800 Feb 7-13. Why such a huge difference when we're staying in value season vs. you in peak?

You're both in value season. Woods view with bunkbed is an extra 50 per night. 3rd adult is an extra 25 per night. Regular dining plan is at least $20 more per day per adult. It all adds up.

Oh, thanks. I didn't realize there was such a big difference between standard and woods view. I was thinking it was maybe $20. It's been awhile since I checked since we need the bunk beds and I thought value season didn't kick in until September. Sure can tell this is a 1st trip for me!

Has anyone seen what has happened to the ticket prices? I assume that they went up, but did they go up much?

Thanks BostonRob, wasnt quick enough to get my reply in with the time difference here and all;)

Just a clarification. I meant that DDP was for 3 adults, but the room is actually 2 adults, 1 junior and 1 child. There was no way one could tell that from my original post.

If it seems like there's a lot to grasp when you're planning this thing, just wait til you get down there! You'll be blown away by the scale of the place. You're in for a treat. Have fun.

OK, now you're just scaring me. :rotfl2:

I can hardly wait to get there and to see the looks on the kids faces. I just hope DH likes it - he's not too thrilled about going.

Just booked POP for January 3-10,2009

8 adults - 2 STD rooms

$806.68/room for 7 nights
$200.00 deposit.

I'm going to call back today to see about an AAA discount. My CM told me none were available, yet other people have gotten them, so I want to see what's up.

Anyone seen anything for Jan 23rd-Jan 30th 2009?

Did you try online yet? I know that the site is still working out some bumps but I am pretty sure if you give it a try now you should get the rates. What are you trying for??
