The other day I was the pukee, so yes, adults do it, too. I take nasal Imitrex for migraines (or I did, I had my dr. switch me to injectible form the next day) and it doesn't completely absorb into my sinuses, so some runs down my throat. It's extremely bitter and I usually have a lifesaver or butterscotch in my mouth to counteract it, but didn't have anything but lollipops. That wasn't far enough back, and a burp turned into more. At least I was able to get to the bathroom without getting it on anything.
My kids have had their share, but we probably can count all of their illnesses on two hands. The last time younger DS got me, he got it all in my hair, right after I'd come out of the shower. He got me at WDW once, puked down the front of my shirt in Virgin Megastore. At least I had a bunch of shirts I'd just purchased in the trunk of my car. I was out there exposing myself and cleaning up with baby wipes, LOL!
