Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Just practice a few times before you go.
Go out on your roof and jump off. :scared1:
Just before you hit the ground, STOP, and jerk yourself back to the top. :scared:
Do that about four times, and you've got Tower of Terror!
The ride is way more exciting than the gift shop. ;)

OK, that was very funny! Just the chuckle I needed....:lmao:

That reminds me of the mamogram prep techniques......

Lay on a cold garage floor, placing one breast behind the front tire....then have a friend back the car up slowly......repeat severl times.........

Or my favorite....place one breast in the refrigerator door have a friend smash it closed....repeat on the other side.

Do you guys still go back to Charleston to visit? My in laws are there so we go from time to time. I want to take the kids down for a field trip before too long. I'm thinking Fort Sumter, Yorktown, Fort Moultrie, and maybe a plantation.

My latest trip report is the WIlderness Lodge, Thongs etc. It is from March. The first part of it was my December trip. The two ran together so I left it as one since they were so close. 70 something days apart.

I l,ove the new pics of your DD doing the handprint thing. That's such a cute picture.

I loved all the pics! Seeing people TR's or pictures from previous trips-always makes me soo excited.. and I love it- because for a brief second I am there.. in disney world.. just experiencing it with you. Its great! So thanks for those! I think for the 20 days til disney for me.. I am going to post some pics from our my DH and I's first trip together in 2005. But most of the good pics aren't on the computer.. or CD.. hmm. idk.

Ahhh, you put into words exactly the way I feel everytime I look at everyone's photos on the DIS board -- for that brief moment in time, I am at Disney, not sitting at home on the computer!

Does your printer scan? A lot of the pictures I have posted, I had to scan first.

I can't believe you only have 20 days left -- that is so awesomely (is that even a word) close!

Anyways,
I do have to say Bo is pretty nice looking for a wooden man! I would definitely buy a coke from him!! hehe ;) So at least she has good taste! I mean granted he's no Jack Sparrow.. but he's pretty close! :rotfl:

:rotfl: We approve of Bo so much more than we would Captain Jack -- no roving hands! :rotfl:

This year, my DH and I will be there during the star wars weekends.. the first weekend.. which is prob. a bad thing.. but we don't really get into star wars- so we will g o there for a few pics.. but thats about it! I'm excited though- I told him I want to take a picture with "darth vader and the gold robot" he said "you mean C3PO?".. hehe whatever.. the gold robot works for me! hehe:laughing:

I don't think it will be too bad for you at SWW -- we were there the first weekend (I think) last year. Try and get there at rope drop so you can see the stormtroopers at the entrance -- they are a hoot!

The gold robot ;) was doing photo ops with R2D2 last year. Darth Vader was over by the Backlot Tour. It took some looking to find him, but I was determined.

I also love the gift shops.. DH on the other hand.. well.. he can only take so much. So sometimes I'll say go buy a drink and sit in the shade and I'll go browse. We usually have a day or time for shopping.. and he can handle that.. but he doesn't really get into "shops" presay.. last time we went I made him go into like every store.. and finally by the end of the trip he said "I don't know why you have to go in here, they all have the same mickey mouse stuff" hehehe it was funny. :cutie:

That sounds like Charles! :rotfl: In fact, I am pretty sure he has said those exact same words. Don't they know that sometimes there is different stuff or stuff we haven't noticed before? ;)

That's the best part. :teeth: If you ride is several times in a row, it really is a different ride each time.

Nuh uh, I need to know what to expect!

Wow! For a minute there I was tempted to go try that -- then I had visions of breaking my leg -- and with only six and a half weeks until Disney, I don't think I want to do the hobbling around the parks thing.

Oh, but it's a lot of fun to listen to the people exiting through the gift shop. My favorite ones last year was the husband who was shaking his head and turned to his wife and said, "But all those kids were laughing as they got off." And then his wife said, "They aren't 40 years old like you!" :rotfl:

I usually go alone. It's my time to get away by myself for a while. ;) But, I went with my friend who was visiting to see this one.

I need to do that more often. My alone time is usually going grocery shopping and let's face it, Walmart is not a relaxing experience.

:rotfl::rotfl:
Too funny! Actually, the themeing of the hotel scares me more than the drops. They are just fun. So smooth. Way better than a free fall ride at 6 flags.

Oh, I love the theming -- it's the drops. We'll see -- if Connor wants to do it, then I will be a good mom and go too.

OK, that was very funny! Just the chuckle I needed....:lmao:

I agree! Testing drains me and MeMom gave me a much-needed laugh.

Do you guys still go back to Charleston to visit? My in laws are there so we go from time to time. I want to take the kids down for a field trip before too long. I'm thinking Fort Sumter, Yorktown, Fort Moultrie, and maybe a plantation.

Even though my parents moved here a few years ago to be closer to the grandkids, I still have quite a few friends, including my BFF from high school, who live there. It's been a couple of years since we went -- I want to take the kids and do Fort Sumter, a carriage ride, Boone Hall Plantation -- all the fun touristy things there are to do there.

My latest trip report is the WIlderness Lodge, Thongs etc. It is from March. The first part of it was my December trip. The two ran together so I left it as one since they were so close. 70 something days apart.

I will head over there this evening and join the fun!

I l,ove the new pics of your DD doing the handprint thing. That's such a cute picture.

Awww, thank you! I feel like that is high praise indeed since you are a photographer!

the only problem with that is all the pressure pushes the air out the other end resulting in a bottom burp.

Oh my gosh, I'd die!:lmao::rotfl::lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: You are both too funny!

Cherie, only you could manage to draw a comparision between mammograms and the Tower of Terror!!!

Now, which would I rather endure: a mammogram or Tower of Terror? :scratchin

Let's see -- one entails massive humiliation at the hands of a total stranger while body parts are smooshed into barely recognizable...or, the other which entails being scared witless?

Although ToT does have the fact that it is at Disney to recommend it. And we all know there is no cute dump shop at the end of the mammogram -- because let's face it -- who needs to remember that experience with a shot glass or a door hanger? :rotfl:

I guess I would have to say ToT would be more fun! Barely. ;)

Okay, in the three pages that I just read, from last night, mind you, we have turned to mamograms and tacky gift shops. Good grief! :lmao: Talk about random connections! How did that happen in less that 24hrs! TOO much time on our hands, that's how!!!! No, I know TOT anxiety is not a laughing matter... I had no idea what I was getting into. I did it in 2005. Not since. Rode it once. Once was plenty. My DS6 rode it with DH. He too was "speechless" for a good 15 minutes after... But Jackie, I'd do it with Connor... it will be memorable to say the least!!!

:lmao: Actually I think in my case it is too much testing this week -- we have only done two days of the five and already my brain is mush. ;)

Connor rode it back in 2004 -- what's funny is that he has forgotten so much about that trip, but ask him about ToT and he can tell you all about how it "stole his breath." I usually take my cues from him -- if he wants to ride something, I will ride it -- otherwise I am more than happy to sit out some of the wilder rides -- although nowadays the only ones he doesn't want to ride are RnRC, ToT, and Space Mountain.

I have always wanted to go to Boone Hall Plantation!!! One of my favorite movies, well 2 of them, were filmed there! North and South and The Notebook!!!

I didn't know The Notebook was filmed there!

I LOVE North and South! That's probably my favorite mini-series of all-time! I remember when they filmed a lot of it in Charleston -- the residents were less than pleased because they came in and dumped TONS of dirt into the streets to make it look like the time period. Boone Hall is so neat -- it looks just like it does as Mont Royal! ;)

I lived in Charleston (MP really, right near Shem Creek) when I was little and we still have family there. My grandmother and aunts and uncles live there. I love Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms. We used to stay on IOP in the Sea Cabins every year but now we have all scattered around the country and it is hard. We try to go every other now. Next summer for sure. Now we get a couple of houses in Wild Dunes. I prefer the main part of IOP. When I was little I always wanted ot get married at Stella Maris Church on SI right across from Fort Moultrie. When I got engaged I looked into it and you had to be a regular member for a couple of years. No tourist weddings. :sad1:

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not!:lmao:

I can only imagine the dump shop after a mamogram......but I don't want to cross the line of dignity, I won't tell you what I'm picturing.;)

Oh my word! :rotfl2: The thought of a dump shop after a mammogram....too funny! I don't want to envision those "year" logo items.

Hang on... Capt Jack involves roving hands? I may have to re-evaluate my vote for Bo. ;) :lmao: :rotfl:

:rotfl:

:rotfl2: If only Capt. Jack had a french accent Christine!

Then we would know who she would vote for! ;)

Isn't it just beautiful there? I always wanted to get married at St. Michael's or St. Philip's and then have the reception at the Old Exchange Building. A little pricey though.

Whoa! What the HECK is going on here, CP!? :lmao:

I am not sure! :confused3:laughing:

The possibilities boggle the mind! :rotfl2:

45 Days Until Walt Disney World!!!

There can be no more changes or backing out now without it costing me!

And we all know that I won't let that happen! ;)

I am so excited!
