My dear Jackie---I knew the resortitis bug was still running amuck in your system!!! I could JUST tell!!! I am seriously crossing all fingers and toes for you that an AKL room opens up---keep checking and calling---you just never know!!! Alas I will miss hearing about BC, but CBR is good too!

I did really well for almost three months without switching. That might be the longest time yet!

CBR is the last moderate on our list -- we have stayed at all the others.

I LOVE the new haircut!!! You look MAHVELOUS DAHLING!!! You remind me that I really need a cut too!!!

Thank you -- it's looking a little crazy this morning -- I hope I can manage to tame it!

OKAY, so when are we going to get some new ADR ideas?!?!?!?!?! Just wondering...................................

I was actually going to post them in the update, but I got really rattled. So, I guess I should do another update mid-week? Or maybe just include them according to the park I am writing about?

Another CBRer!! This is my first WDW resort stay so I can't compare - though I did walk through the Beach Club & it's gorgeous... the pictures that I've seen of CBR are gorgeous too. And $875 is well worth it to me. I hope AKL opens up for you, but if not, I think you'll be happy with CBR.

Cute haircut! Must have been a weekend for cuts, because I gave msyelf one on Saturday.

I say change resorts all you want! As long as you're happy in the end. And I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that AKL becomes available - yes - I'm an enabler!!

Your haircut looks fantastic! Does it naturally curl up on the ends like that, or did you do that? Either way, adorable! And versatile, you have lots of options.

You know I love CBR, and if you're happy there, I'm happy for you. That is a lot of money in this day and age, and I totally understand. It's one of the reasons amongst many that we're staying at Pop in September. It fits the budget. And with all the other things we need to / may need to do, it just makes sense. Good for you!

I bet the kids will love the new pool! I'm hoping to go over there to visit in March, since the two times I've been it's been raining and/or dark, so I've never gotten good pictures. Since we'll be right around the corner at Pop, I thought we'd get up and go eat breakfast there one of the mornings. I'd like to see the new pool. So, if we get there in March, then I'll come back with some pictures to help get you excited about it!

I will have you know that you altering your plans also alters mine. We were going to go out the back gate on our Epcot day to eat at Beaches and Cream and get some Beach Club pictures for you, but now I guess I can scratch that. Now that I have that little bit of extra time, I think we'll get some of that awesome chicken in Sunshine Seasons.

I've already got you covered if you change to AKL, because we already have it on the list to go over there.
You won't disrupt any of my plans if you change to that, so plan away!!!

Cute haircut! I cut my long hair to my shoulders about 5-6 months ago. I like it a lot and it is soooo much easier to take care of. I've been slowly growing it back out. i think I want it longer for a while.. it suits me better. but the change was good while it lasted. Now I'm in the "inbetween" stage where it feels like my hair isn't growing.. just passed my shoulders. Also, congrats on saving money! It's always good to save money when you didn't expect it! When we booked we were looking at moderate and decided to just go value and save even more money. We felt better about it. Plus, I like more spending money!! hehe

Secondly, I think you made a great decision..if you are going to go big you need to go big with all your heart so its AKL or bust!! CBR sounds like it will be a great match for your family and you can do a lot with that savings!!!!

I agree with the other posters, Jackie - you look great!! I have shorter hair too and it's SO easy to take care of!

And congrats on saving some $$! That's awesome - and now you have more money that you can spend on fun stuff at the World.

They only had standard, not preferred, rooms left so I requested a room in Aruba or Jamaica since it looks like it is just across the bridge from the main area. We are such pool people when on vacation that we are looking forward to playing in that great new pool!

I did the same thing when we went. It isn't too bad over the bridge to the main building, just make sure to request specific buildings. I ended up in Jamaica but in the FURTHEST building possible. We got lost EVERY time coming off the buses and DH had to take the bus to a whole different stop to get us drink refills.

I just read your 2008 TR (well most of it, 191 pages wow!). I laughed all day long (please don't tell my boss). Connor is a hoot and reminds me of my own Omicron.

I had been thinking of Boma's and the Tusker house Breakfast and after reading your TR I def want to do both.

I see you scrapbook too! My mom and I are going to a CM scrapbook retreat this weekend so hopefully I will finish my October 2008 Disney book.

I think we are only an hour and a half away. I am just over the state line on I-20. I took my Chi to the same American Girl store in Northpointe Mall that you mentioned.

Awesome about saving all that money, and I'm glad that CBR is something that everyone agrees on. But, I hope that a room at AKL will open up. That, and WL, are two that I would love to stay at someday.

I think you made the right decision, absolutely. I looked at CBR a couple times before I booked out June trip and even after. Alas, I am not a resort-hopper yet! But I have told DH I want to go and see it, so next trip we can consider CBR, especially the pirate rooms. Great savings, makes good sense for so many reasons, as everyone has said, and why do a deluxe that isn't exactly the one you want? Ditto on the hair! Great teacher style. If you can swing a mid-week update, we'd love to hear
If AKL comes up then you'll have a hard decision, but at least it will be one you want to make!

I think you also made the right decision switching resorts, saving $875 to stay at some place JUST AS COOL as BC is definitely a good idea. I'm sure the kids will love the pirate pool and you guys will be just as happy in CBR as you would in BC.

Wow! A new doo and resort change? I hope AK opens up so you can get what your really want but I'm sure your family will have fun where ever you stay........ and it is Disney so what's not to love?
I must confess that I'm a little bummed that we won't be running into you at the beach club though.

Did you manage to get your hair tamed this morning? I have a standing date with my flat iron every morning! I got my hair cut off a couple of weeks ago and love ease and speed of getting ready for school.
