Oh my gosh, I am so excited! A few weeks back, some of you were talking about the survey on the DCL site. At the time, they were saying that some people might get $500, so I went to the site, and filled out the survey. Today I got an email from them asking me to participate in a research survey that they are conducting in Atlanta!!! Here's what it said:
-----------
Dear Disney Cruise Line Panel Member:

You are receiving this email because you have participated in prior research for Disney and
agreed to be contacted for future research.

Disney Cruise Line will be conducting live interview research sessions in Atlanta on
April 28th, 2004. On behalf of Disney Cruise Line and Audience Profiler, a third-party
independent marketing research firm, we would like to invite you to participate!

If you've recently booked an upcoming cruise on Disney Cruise Line, or if you've taken a cruise
on Disney Cruise Line in the past, we want to hear from you!
------------
It went on to give me an email address to contact them with so that they can set up a time for my interview! Isn't that exciting!

Congratulations!

After your interview, you must tell us all about it on the boards! I hope you win the $500.

I got the same type of email twice and responded but never heard back! Please let us know how it goes.

MickeyandMinnie...I live near you, and got the same email today. Haven't called them back yet b/c I have 3 kids, and have to double check schedules with DH. Maybe I'll see you there!

I just got the e-mail for the NYC interviews. I replyed earlier today. Hopefully, I will hear from them.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe they sent the letter to everyone that took the online survey in the Atlanta area. I took the survey twice using two different email accounts (my account at work and the one at home). I got the letter for both of them. I hope I end up getting a phone call from them, but now I'm starting to think that I won't.

If you get the call, let me know and maybe we can try to meet there! :D

Hey Ryan....I also got the e-mail and responded...maybe we will be on the panel together!!!

MJ,

I just found my carpool buddy!

I'll post if I hear back from them.

Would love to carpool. What do we get for this????

d

I emailed back, should I call too?

Hey Ryan...would love to carpool!!!

Dotterson....I don't know or think we get anything for it.....I know I just love talking about DCL and this is the perfect place to do it!!!....ohh.....carpooling may be tough since you are in Atlanta and we are in NY...LOL!!!

I know this is a little different, but I got to participate in one of those on-board research discussions. Our topic was the Kids Club activities. We got $50 on board credit for a 45 minute session. It was lots of fun and we got to give our insight on +/- about the kids club.

I would love to discuss the tween club probs. My DD is going to be 12 1/2 and she might be a bit old for some of the 10-12 yr. old stuff. They also say that 13-14 yr. olds are kinda at a loss with activities with the older kids... I think Disney needs to get 'on board' about this!

Hope I get something for the research. Driving to Downtown Atlanta isn't a lot of fun, but yes, talking about anything Disney is cool!!!

:D

I think these "think tanks" are great opportunities for us to present what feel DCL needs and/or is lacking or what we all wish DCL would do regarding itineraries, etc.

I know I will bring up the lack of young adult activities (18-24) which is a big concern for many.

I know how you feel! I hate driving into Atlanta!!! My 19 year old daughter goes to school down there (and lives down there) and thinks nothing of it though! I swear Atlanta drivers are the worse!

If I get called, I plan on bringing this up too! Although our June cruise will be our first, I am worried that there won't be anyone on board the same age as my oldest daughter. She is too old for any of the teen areas. Knowing this upfront, I thought that maybe we should try a different cruise line, but she was the one that insisted on the DCL. I hope she won't get too bored hanging around with Mom & Dad!
