I have called almost everyday for months waiting for the GV conc room to open up at the AP rate and today was the day! I am so excited, we have had the lagoon view before and loved it, but I wanted to pay less this time and still have the concierge amenities. Yeah! Just needed to share the joy... :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :earboy2: :wave2:

Congrats!

If you don't mind my asking, when are you going and what is your rate?

I found an AP rate at YC for our 3/24-30 trip so switched to that from POFQ last week. Was surprised to find it due to heavy Easter crowds. Would have loved to snagged an AP at Poly

Enjoy your trip

I would love to read about why you enjoy the Poly concierge. I would really, really like to try a concierge level for my 40th birthday, so any thoughts you have would be appreciated!

Do you also mind sharing your rate? We, too, are AP holders with hopes of a June trip.

Well, I can tell you why we like it...

Location - close to pool, beach, marina, boat launch, main longhouse/monorail.

Space - somewhere to go if the room gets hectic.

Views - read a paper, have a drink & watch Wishes, Water Parade or the castle change colors.

Food - children are hungry 20 minutes after a full meal. Here they can graze w/o driving us nuts!

Simpicity - ease of check-in/out; all plans quickly confirmed.

Probably others; I'll remember more in a few weeks...

I totally agree with The Incredibles description of the Poly GV concierge. The rate was around $415, which is alot better than the LV price. It is no problem for us to watch the fireworks from the beach or the park. Still higher than a regular room, but I love having the lounge to relax in when I need a break from the room and snacks/drinks for everyone.

I echo all that the others have listed re benefits of concierge...and especially appreciated the lounge. I loved having the availability of another area to let my older kids go for a snack, to watch a movie or play board games while my littlest slept. They enjoyed the freedom of "coming and going" and the numerous snack offerings throughout the day; I appreciated the comfort of knowing where they were (they are ages 11-16, well traveled and understand how to behave in public, but I still worry when they are not with us!). Only down side: they are totally spoiled now and only want to stay concierge level
