We weren't sure if everything was going to come together for getting to HHI for Easter/our anniversary. All the flights we could find for that time period from here ran $500-$600 per person. Thank goodness, Southwest announced new flights into Charleston, so we were able to book for 1/2 the prices we'd seen before. So tell me all about HHI at Easter. Or anything about late April there, like what's the weather like? We've never been at that time of year.

Sorry never been to HHI - but wanted to say we are celebrating our Anniversary (apr 21 - 10 yrs) and Easter at AKV!!! Just thouhgt it was neat for someone else to be doing the same thing!!! And SW is GREAT!!!!

We're more than a few years ahead of you in years married, and our anniversary is actually ON Easter. My dream has always been to get my name on the HHI resort TV channel (ya, I know-my dreams are simple) and I'm really hoping we get it next year.

Congratulations! Hope you have a fantastic trip.

We're celebrating our 30th today and expected to be at BLT, after spending a few days at VB, but life happens and dear M-I-L is sick and the trip just isn't that important. We're planning to go to HHI next May, when the dust settles.

I just spoke with SWA 2 weeks ago about getting the credit for our tickets extended and asked about flights to Charleston. Was told "late 2011" and not to plan on it for the May trip. I should never be surprised about the great info on these boards! Sharing your good news helped us have one more thing to look forward to.

You never know what tidbit of info you'll pick up on this board. Yesterday I saw your post about SWA into Charleston and, from past experience, have found that one or two other airlines will usually match SWA fares. We're newbie DVC members and have several WDW trips in the pipeline but HH sounds like a neat place to visit. We live in Oklahoma and constantly watch airfares; just have AA out of our hometown, which is more usually expensive than going to OKC. Well anyway AA has recently had some great fares right out of our town, so guess what- we're now booked for a trip to HH next May for our 39th anniversary! GREAT airfare ($250 pp!) and booked a studio right at the 7 mo mark. Your post started the ball rolling and things just fell into place. Thanks!!

This is even more ammo that I need to convince my DH that we need a HHI add-on:banana:.

AirTran just came to our airport (Grand Rapids) this year. I was less than thrilled to hear that they are now being bought by SWA. I used to drive all the way to Detroit just so that I could fly AirTran, then they come to Grand Rapids....and now their "leaving". But, when SWA takes over, it would be really nice if they flew into Charleston from Grand Rapids too. They would definitely become my favorite airline if their fares were less than $300/person.

Now, I need to recheck my budget for our April 2011 trip to HHI. Maybe we can fly!
