.....but it was the wrong one! I bought it from another country and they literally wrapped it in a garbage bag to ship it. Then it gets even funnier when I pull it out of the bag and when its supposed to be gold...its silver! Then my DF tries to zip it up, the top is too tight. Then he tries to hook the train on and it falls right off

After all this believe it or not...I love the dress! Its the wrong one but I like silver, I need to lose 2 pounds anyway, and who the heck needs a train anyway...I could always just sew it on...right???

In silver, you truly WILL look like Cinderella at WDW! :thumbsup2

Oh lord....I just realized I already bought my jewelry and tiara and gold. I guess I'm gonna have to list that stuff on ebay quick and find something else. LOL

Also, the dress is a little too long so I'm going to have to find heels instead of the flats I wanted

It sounds great, but were gonna need to see pictures! :thumbsup2 :teeth: Congradulation!

Trains are a pain in the butt anyways. I went to a wedding last night and the bride's bustle came apart so they had to pin the train up. Mine ended up filthy by the time of the ceremony.

You could always have the dress shortened instead of getting higher heels. You could probably get it let out too if you don't feel like losing weight.

A silver wedding dress sounds so pretty!

He was able to zip it up but I just didn't like the way that the skin on my back hung a little over the top. I think losing 2-3 pounds would take care of it, at the most 5 pounds. I wonder about taking it up b/c it is covered in embroidery from head to toe...can a seamstress work around that embroidery so that it doesn't look like its been cut off?

I wouldn't shorten the dress. If you were planning on wearing flats and this won't require 5" heels you should be an easy adjustment, just be sure to break the shoes in before the wedding.

A silver dress sounds elegant, a gold one, well let's just say, I can't picture it - LMHO.

Best Wishes on your wedding.

That is what it was supposed to look like, now just picture all that gold as silver

wow, that is really gorgeous! I would love that in gold or silver...I agree with just getting heels instead of trying to get it shortened.

That dress is beautiful! It's really not at all what I pictured in my head when you said a 'gold' wedding dress, lol. But I tend to like silver better than gold in just about everything so I have a feeling I would like the dress you actually have better too.

That's a beautiful gown! I think it would be gorgeous in gold or silver. I'm glad it will still work for you! I wouldn't take it up though - I'd go with higher heels to compensate. The embroidery is stunning and you don't want to lose any of it!

I'm so glad you posted the picture...I had gold lame in my head! Gorgeous dress and do not hem it..you would lose the whole bottom and it is way too pretty!

Beautiful gown. Definately not what I pictured when you said gold ;)

What a gorgeous dress! When is the wedding? Also, I agree about wearing heels, so that you don't lose the nice embroidery along the bottom! :goodvibes

You have to be the most laid-back bride i've ever seen. Wrong dress? Delivered in a garbage bag? No problem :thumbsup2 Definitely not Bride-zilla. BTW--i love the dress. Train or no train, it is sensational

LOL! My first thought was gold lame, too!

It's a very pretty dress. :bride:
