Got my surgury date finally!

Good to hear that your surgery went well, Darren. Take it easy and you'll be back up and around before you know it! :)

So glad to hear that surgery went well!! Hopefully physio will go as well. Do it all and you should be fine. Physio worked wonders on my DS when he very badly sprained his ankle. He was told it would be 12 weeks before he would be able to run but instead it was only about 7 weeks. Surprisingly for a teenager he actually did what he was told!!!

I hope that physio works as quickly for you as it did for my DS.

The planning for WDW starts now!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hi Darren!
Just wanted to wish you a speedy recovery! Before you know it, you'll be cheering on those Habs and planning that trip to WDW! Glad to hear everything went well! Enjoy those World Cup games!

Glad to hear that all went well ! Make sure you do as you're told ;)

Thanks everyone for the well wishes I have a script for PERCS no WDW script though oh well. Susan I will be on campus at the Fowler Kennedy clinic for physio so maybe we can do lunch one afternoon. Thanks again everyone and hopefully we will see everyone at a DIS meet in the not so distant future.
Darren

Good news, Darren. You are now on your way to recovery and a trip south! Be good, and do what the doctor-and Lisa-tell you!

Be good be good! What kinda fun would that be LOL. I will pm you when I am headed up there next Susan and see about meeting with you and Mike for some lunch.

Actually, Darren, I work with the techs who operate the radiology area at Fowler (it's a satellite of LHSC's radiology department) so I'm down there occasionally anyway. PM me when you have your next session down there.

- Mike

Will do Mike look foreward to having some lunch with you and Susan. Did you get your car yet? How do you like it?

I picked it up last week. It's a fun car to drive, and given its size I'm amazed at how much room there is in the passenger compartment. I find if I have the driver's seat all the way back I can't reach the steering wheel and there's not too many cars for which that holds true - including our Grand Caravan.

We opted for the manual transmission, and I've had a few interesting moments trying to remember how to drive a stick again. ;)

Sounds great I loved the one I had for a weekend my salesman gave me one to use for a weekend. I opted to borrow the GT version man was it a fun car to drive. I should be sending you a PM for next week I think that is when I am back at the clinic again.
Darren

Mike, I told my DH about the Vibe as I will probably be replacing my car next year. We went and took a look at it here in Woodstock, at our local dealer but it was on a Sunday so haven't test driven one yet. I thought it looked a really nice size and would be great for just the two of us, including his golf clubs ;) , since our boys don't want to travel with us anymore. I don't want to go back to a minivan after driving a car the last 3+ years so am looking for an alternative.

Darren, we'll have to check out the GT version too. The main things that I really want, though, are automatic trans and air.

Julie the GT only comes in a 6 speed manual transmission so the regular version is what you will be looking at. They all come with air and CD etc. They have lease rates on them as low as 188 a month currently or 278 a month with 0 down.

Julie,

Let me know the next time you're visiting London and maybe we can get together and you can have a closer look at the car.

- Mike
