Now I'm getting excited again! I got my big travel-planning packet in the mail! I'm trying to go to Paris for my 30th birthday in September. Unfortunately, they haven't distributed the packet specific for those dates yet. But, I thought I'd get an idea by getting this year's brochures. The plan was to only spend one day since my friend isn't a big Disney fan (she's tolerating one day at DL for my sake). But after looking through this, maybe I should stay an extra few days just to see Disneyland and the Studios. But then, I really SHOULD see France while I'm there, since I "can see all that right here in FL," as everyone says. ARGH! I guess I'll just have to work my butt off so I can justify spending more time over there.
Does anyone have recommendations on hotels at DLP or Paris in general? I was really hoping to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, but it STARTS at $302, when the next highest Disney hotel starts at $211. And I hate to spend just one night in a hotel; I like to stay at least 2 so I can have at least one full day where I don't feel like I'm being rushed.
Now I'm going to be reading this booklet all night! So much for trying to be productive

). But, what is the deal with the hotels? Can you not just pay to stay in a hotel without including the park tickets? I really only want to spend one day in the park, and that's not offered with the on-site deals, from what I see. They have one-night/two-day packages for off-site hotels, but I REALLY want to stay onsite! Maybe I will buy the package and only spend 1.5 days in the park or something, if I have to. My friend really won't be happy about spending more than one day in the park, and doesn't care about Disney hotels, so I will probably have to foot her bill too. Ugh. I've never been big on package deals, so this is confusing and annoying. I'm getting a taste of what it must feel like for first-time WDW visitors. Yikes!
Hey, maybe I will wind up doing a couple of solo Disney days. But that means I would have to leave Disney for the end of my trip, and I was hoping to do it towards the middle. Oh well, at least I have a lot of time to plan.
