I was having such a blah morning, so it was so nice to get this in the mail today! :)

Just wanted to verify something, though.

I am meeting my brother in Disney World--I am flying in from Virginia around 11 am, he is flying in from Texas around 4 pm.

I notice the booklet they sent says to have this available to present to Disney upon arrival at the airport. Since we're coming in separately, obviously my brother won't be able to do that...

So should I go ahead and mail him one of the yellow sticky strip luggage tags that they sent me (one has his name on it)? Also, inside the booklet are 4 perforated/tear out "DME Transportation Vouchers". One says my name, the resort we're staying and a bar code. The other has my brother's name, resort we're staying at, and a bar code. The other two are blank--no name/bar code, etc. I assume I should tear out the one with my brother's name and mail that to him with the yellow luggage tag?

What would happen if it got lost in the mail and he didn't receive it? Would they still let him on the DME by showing his ID and verifying that his name is on a reservation at a Disney resort?

*To complicate things just a little more:upsidedow, I just recently (5 days ago) changed my reservation...I had booked a room only package, but 5 days ago decided I wanted to include the dining plan. So when I called, since it was less than 45 days 'till my vacation, what the CM basically had to do was cancel my existing room only reservation, and book a new "package" reservation--with a totally new confrimation number and everything....I notice that these transportation vouchers have bar codes, and some other number on there (just above the date) and I hope these aren't special numbers that would be affected by my reservation change? I'd just hate for us to get to the airport, have a CM scan something and say "Oh, no. These tickets are only valid for the first reservation you made and cancelled. No DME for you!" or something!

Thanks for any insight!

ETA: Looking at the yellow luggage tags further--I notice that it has my OLD reservation number listed on it...yikes...is this going to be a problem?

I assume you made the reservation for both of you. That's why you got the package. Yes, you should send him the luggage tag and reservation slip. If you want to make sure he gets it, send it via some kind of tracking mail (FedEx, UPS, whatever USPS has).

As far as the changes, I don't know. If you don't get an answer here, you can contact DME, tell them you've received your package, but your reservation number has changed and ask if they need to send new tags.

I actually called Disney with the same questions VAfamily. My dd is flying in from LAX while I'm flying from MHT and we'll be arriving at different times and the reservations are in my name. They said I should get the vouchers, etc. in plenty of time to send them out to her. They also said should they become lost or whatever, the names are in the system and there should be no problem at ME check in as long as they have ID. Hope this helps!
