Got My Green Mickey's!!!

So a few weeks ago I finally found the GREEN Mickey paint samples from Home Depot...I was so excited that...well...what do I do now?

What was it we're suppose to do with them again ?

Well I put our DIS names on them, than stick them back to back and laminate them, punch a hole in the top, put ribbon through and hang them from either a belt loop or backpack, or fanny pack, etc.

Or you could just laminate them, punch a hole in the top and attach to your pin trading lanyard if you wear one.

I didn't like the "cards" they came on and peeling them off was really not good, so I just boiled mine (yes, boiled em in a pot) until the Mickey's heads floated off (it in no way hurt them, but man what it did to those cards). I bought some colored card stock at Wal-Mart and I'm gonna make luggage tags out of some of them and hang tags out of the lime green ones for our backpacks.

There are so many things you can do with them, just use your imagination!

Wow. I would have never thought of boiling them. I tried the peeling and that just didn't work out at all.

I am going to cut the lime green mickey head out then write my DIS user name on it (LadyLuc361) and get it laminated. Then I am going to use a hot glue gun to glue a pin on the back of it.

When we are there I will have it pinned to me or our bag and hopefully see some disers!

I put two together, back to back. On the front I put a small picture of each of the kids, on the back I put our resort name, our cell phone numbers, and on my daughter's a not that she has seizures. Then I put stickers with their favorite characters to cover up some of the writing. Then I laminated them with ID tags I found at Wal-Mart and tied them to my kid's belt loops. On mine I just put my "screen name" and made them into luggage tags.

When you took them did you feel a little guilty? How many did you take? I took some(I won't say the number until someone else does) and I felt kind of baad...Like I was stealing. I know it's not stealing, but ...... does anyone know what I'm saying?

I felt guilty

but i made sure that there was still lots left for the lovely Disney lovers who wanted the samples

There's a section of paint samples at Home Depot where the colors are displayed on cards with a Mickey head of that color. There are many colors available, but some on the DIS boards are using the lime green ones to designate that they're from this board.

Everytime I go to the Home Depot there are none left. My DH was able to bring a few back the other day. He said he just asked a guy from the paint department and he pulled some out of a drawer.

that would make me wonder if there were other DISer in my area...

weird little fact:
I was surfing the DISBoards the other day and this man posted and I reconized some info in his sig...come to find out its my best friends Disney DAD!!!
