I really think I am going to love....it is taking me a little while to adjust to the manual zoom...got so use to being able to zoom and take a picture with one hand!
So far I am pleased with the low light function. Speed is good!
I think I made the right choice for me!

I'm tickled pink (Alabama-ism) for you and hope you enjoy your S6000fd as much as I have enjoyed my S5200. I'm looking forward to taking my new D50 to Mickey's World in July but already know I will miss the small size, low weight, and convenience of the S5200.

Please be sure and post some pix here for the benefit of others who may be looking at this camera.

Spinning,
It looks like we got our 6000's about the same time. I had been looking at it for a while and waiting for the price to drop. How do you like it so far?
I'm still in the stages of experimenting (especially low light shots) . Going from a Sony PNS, I still have a lot to learn about using the manual settings but its not like I’m burning up film and I have to say that even with my limited knowledge on cameras, I am pleased with it.
