Got My Free 50 Disney Rewards today!!!

Hi all. I signed up for a Disney Visa at the website 50DisneyRewards.com. I received and used it both on Feb. 22. And today I have an avaible rewards balance of 50!! It said it would take 4 to 6 weeks after 1st purchase and it's only been 23 days!!!

I had wondered if this would work since my wife and I already both have a Disney Visa. I guess they are both in her name even though each card has our individual name on it. I used the same address and everything!

I've only used this card for 1 small purchase. I hoping if I don't use it we will get the offer for double points on purchases over $150. If so, then we'll start using the new cards! (We are currently on the double points for purchases over $1,000 plan )

Note that the 50 bonus rewards site is up until 6/30/05.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. I've got the card with the $1000 double offer. Was thinking of getting one in DH's name for $50 and hoping for better double offer.

So, right now I have the card also, my husband and I both have them, if we apply for this one, will we get new cards? and still get the $50?

Congratulations! I am disappointed, though, because when I applied online, the offer was for 25 reward dollars. I received my VISA and used it, but I didn't get the 25 reward dollars. I got a $15 gift card for the Disney Store. I emailed Bank One about it, and they replied by saying that their records indicate that the offer was for the gift card and not the reward dollars. I guess I'm stuck, even the website plainly stated that it was 25 reward dollars.

Update: I received another email from Bank One today apologizing for the mess up. They said that if I send the gift card back, they will credit my account with the 25 reward dollars. It pays to be persistent!

My DH and I both have one (I have to spend $700 to get double rewards) and I just signed DH up a few days ago to get the 50 free reward dollars.

Between this and my 4 ING accounts with $50 free for each account my savings for Disney is growing great!!

We had the $50 reward offer in my last bill. I have a Disney card but dh didnt so we opened an acct for him and we used the card as soon as we got it so we got the 50 reward dollars plus $2 from our purchases. Not a bad deal.

goodness my double points is anything over 2300. I had to wonder if this was generated by this cardmember never goes over this amount so that will be what they have to get to. I hadnt really paid attention to the points as the bills came but as i was getting my dollars in order for the upcomming disney trip, I realized I had managed to go over 2300 several times. But no double points. Called and was told - (a)double points are only for the amount you are over the 2300 (so they wouldnt add up to much extra) (b) it only counts on the total of your purchasses in very select categories. dont remember exactly. groceries (counts walmart charges only if it is a supercenter), drug store, gasoline, restraunts. So if you take off my 'shopping', travel, medical, etc. i am never going to get anywhere near 2300. I gave them an earful when I called about how deceptive it was. As well as not liking the fact that ther werent any disney world discounts as I was led to believe there would be. the respons "go to disney land we have good discounts there"

I bought it to use for our cruise as I pay it off. I can do that right? I figured each month when I want to pay some off it off I will charge it on the disney visa and than pay it off when the bill comes. does that qualify? I orginally made the reservation onboard the DCL. tia.

Yes you only have to make one purchase and the 50 will be on your next statement. We used ours as soon as it came and when we got our statement it had the $50 + 2 other dollars we earned.

I just called and they said that they are no longer taking credit apps for this offer.

They are online. Just go to the 50disneyrewards.com site. It says you must apply for, receive and use the card by 6/30/05 to get the 50. The site is active.

How long does it take to get a response from your application? The person I spoke with said up to 30 days, but I was just curious.

In response to the other poster who wanted to know how many rewards they have, you can either go to their website or check your monthly statement.

With the card I have and DH's new $50 free reward dollars card, we have $462 towards our next trip!

Your reward card is like a credit card, it has a number and an expiration date. A word of warning though do not transfer your reward dollars til you are ready to use them. The reward cards expire and so do any rewards left on it.

$462 is great. I was happy we had $200, lol. My goal was to be able to pay for 2 nice meals for my huge gang.
