Got my Dollars

I'm off to NY in 5 weeks time. I got my dollars at M&S for 1.844. It was 1.8446 last night but it dropped a little but I am more than chuffed with that.

I've just purchased some for October at a similar rate. My view is that I'm more than happy with that rate and if its goes higher, well 'am I bothered'.

If I had the money I would get my dollars for next year to Florida.

Depending upon how late next year you are going, you may find little change and so not lose out, or even not at all.

Market comment is that the dollar may break the $2 barrier for various reasons, so I may have jumped the gun. It's a bit like selling shares. Wait for the top and you're bound to miss it!

They are warning though if it does hit the $2 mark it wont be there for long and will possibly cause a big crash in the rates there! The last time the Dollar went that high was in 1992 - the few days before "black wednesday".

I need to get some for December so im buying a few hundred pounds worth here and there!
